  1. That's the usual they won't say anything but if you do try to claim that'll be their way of wriggling out of paying up!
  2. 2 years for £400, just like the peace of mind, had a claim with one of my previous cars so I just do it as a matter of course now
  3. You know yourself, fords are good and like you say regular oil and filter changes do the trick. I've extended my warranty by another couple of years just in case, hopefully will never need it tho!
  4. Not sure about this, I've just serviced mine about a month late but reckon Ford would still use that as a reason not to pay out if something goes wrong!
  5. You never know they could be, saying that I have my spirited moments though on the backroads!!
  6. I try to use the breaks as little as possible prefer planning ahead and using the engine, trying to show the missus this as well seeing as she's learning to drive. Second owner tho so the other guy might have been a numpty tho, don't think so as the car was well looked after, serviced early both times previously.
  7. The corrosion lifts off pretty quick, 12 mile to the mot centre, take it along some twisties and they'll clean up a treat. Kwik fit reckon there's plenty of wear on the front pads, just hitting 31k so I think it's probably had at least one sets of pads previously. My last car binned it's disks at 40k which I thought was early. Been trying to plan ahead recently when driving so not hitting the brakes very often, just need to remember to dry them off every once in a while so they work when needed!!
  8. They look pretty good, wears quite good usually surface corrosion seeing as it's laid up for a couple of weeks at a time. Sound quite rough at times when braking lightly at low speeds tho hence the wish to give them an overhaul
  9. Anybody know what the minimum thickness should be?? I've got the 2.0 Petrol zetec with disks all round, gonnae stick it in for an mot next time off but going to check the brakes over myself beforehand thanks in advance
  10. I've got just over 30k on mine and I'm sure it's gonnae need new pads and disks for it's MOT in a couple of months, had kwik fit give the fronts a look over and they reckon there's plenty of wear left but I'm doubtful, gonnae be costly tho!!!
  11. Silver with the blue ford writing either that or silver and black, although something makes me wanna go for something bright but some little * * * * would probably try pulling them off!!
  12. Had a quick look, fancy them in silver and blue, will order a set up when I get a chance
  13. Cheers bud, always fancied changing them out, will give the site a squint today
  14. Where'd you get the replacement badges from fancy changing out my front and rears looking for different colours??
  15. I've got Halfrauds in mine, they're not the top notch onces, second best if I remember right. Only bought them cause they were buy one get one free, give a pretty White light but not as good as some of the cheapos I've bought off eBay, they were emarked as well!!
  16. I got thm out of frauds buy one get one free, don't expect them to last tho!!
  17. Hi Peeps got bored the other day and tried a test I used to be able to do on my mark 1 which does various tricks on your dash and digital display. It works on my 07 so think they mustve left it in for all models Ignition off hold in set/reset button on trip computer stalk turn ignition key to position 2 whilst still holding set/reset button hold until test appears in digital display then release use set/reset button to cycle through options, gauge sweep and LED test are the niftiest, also digital mph, kph, rpm and various other stuff
  18. Ach well must be a "system feature" it's only happened a couple of times so far, just curious if it was a common thing, not bothering me at the moment enough either!
  19. Anybody else had this yet, it's only happened a few times over the last few months just buggin me. They jam on the high speed wipe and only go off when I tap the stalk for an intermittent wipe. I'm thinking a dodgy relay or something but without a diagram can't tell whether a relay does this or not?
  20. There's a bit of moddin required to get them to fit, basically a bit of nibbling to get the lampholders to fit
  21. No probs mate glad to hear they did a good job, I'd defo use them again. I had the NCT5's as standard on my old Focus a few years back and thought they were pretty good, enjoy your run this weekend, the suns splitting the sky at my end, time for a wee run to the beach for us as well I think!
  22. I found 205/50/r17s pretty limited in terms of different brands when I went looking ended up sticking a full set of Conti Sport 3's on which are good but there's always something better out there for less money!
  23. Like I'm saying I think it's probably a franchise, I can only vouch for the guy who I had who was quick and good. Saying that I had them fitted onto steel wheels but I watched the guy fitting them out of interest and he did as good a job as anybody else I've watched.
  24. I used a mob called etyres I think a couple of years back, I just bought the tyres online then the guy pitched up as arranged, fitted them and balanced them. Couldn't fault the guy and had no problems. The tyres I wanted cost me £60 a piece, I've managed to pick them up for £42 fitted since but that's through my mother in law who gets me a discount. At the end if the day it'll probably cost you slightly more but you've got to factor in the guys diesel etc and odds are it's a franchise. They weren't local to me but odds are there will be better coverage south of the border. The guy had all th
  25. I used vredestiens on my last two cars and was pretty impressed, I was told they've won a few awards but they still seem to be pretty unknown
