There is a review of a 1.6 TDCi LX Estate ( http://www.ffoc.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=69797 )by Planty, it showed a pic of the engine and it had no cover. Tony
On mine is what I could only describe as felton mine, this appears to stop the seatbelt rubbing against the gaitor on the handbrake. Mine appears to be attached quite firmly but I'll keep an eye on it. Tony
Hi James, I've just gone through about 12 weeks of the car going into the dealers and out again with starting issues, the warranty was just about to run out and I would dread to think what the labour / part charges could have been. I daren't leave the wife with a car which we were unsure from one day to the next would start. :? Tony
Well here you go, this is spoooky thing, I''ve defected from the Darkside, Look at the avatar I have, now look at the last three digits of the number plate  Tony
1.6 Ti-VCT Titanium in Machine Silver. Part-Ex'ed my TDCi (due to losing all confidence in it) for this, I'll miss the torque :( , but never mind!!! Tony 8)
Hi Anthony, First of all welcome to the Forum. I had a 1.6 TI-VCT as a courtesy car just over a week ago and the LCD backlight stayed permanently on. In your instance the light eventually going out is correct. When you unlock the car I do believe the backlight will come on. I have now purchased that 1.6 Ti-VCT Titanium in Machine Silver 8) and should pick it up this Thursday. The dealer has rectified the backlight on the one I'm buying. So enjoy your car and the forum. Regards Tony
