How easy is it to get the injectors out ?

Driving home from shops today main road was closed due to flood - took a diversion and could see water lying on road . What I didn't realise was that the road dipped in the middle so was about 2foot deep !!! Got half way through and car stopped :( had to get out through window and push it out. did try restarting it while in water Had RAC come out and cant start car - he thinks possibly may have sucked up water through air intake :( :( :( Its a 1.6 TDCI Am I looking at a very costly repair bill ?

Front and Rear fitted = £180 :( :(

Well got car back seems to be ok They found a corroded terminal :( Also had to have the brake pads replaced again !!!! only done 15k since last lot (rear with EPB)

:cry: My very reliable C-max 1.6tdci has now started playing up At first I got a steering assist failure message - no response from throttle slowed down and engine cut out Restarted and all was ok - 10 miles later got same thing again and then Engine system failure message. Now this is happening everytime I drive the car - I can tell when its going to happen as I get a slight hesitation from the throttle and then the accelerator will do nothing. Restarting engine will get it going for 10 mins again or so :( Its going in tomorrow for this , but I was just wondering what is likely to be th

My Cmax ghia started squealing a week ago , booked it in asap into the dealer. Also booked it in for 25k service (its only done 23k). Garage have just phoned to say the rear pads have gone but also they have knackered the discs !!! . I said surely that should be covered under warranty as the pads should last longer than that !!! The garage said they have had problems with excessive brake wear with the epb on these :( :(

Yes it does push out some clips - but the problem is that you cant put the metal stereo cage in because those lugs at the bottom foul the cage and it wont go in :(

Just trying to fit a parrot rythym n Blue in place of my 6000 in my 04 plate C-max. I have got the correct autoleads wiring adapter and I have a car sound supplies L066 fascia adapter. However there seems to be no way to secure the fascia adapter without taping it or glueing it Also when that is in place there is no way the stereo cage will fit as the internal C-max mount has two raised plastic lumps top and bottom in the 2 din hole Picture is of fascia adapter just pushed in place , but as you can see the two lugs sit above the top of the adapter , therefore as you try and slide st

Right ordered keys and loom . Does anyone know if the aerial adapter pc5-100 is actually required for an iso head unit or can you just use one of those cheap male/female aerial adapters Thanks

Also where is the best place to get keys to remove ?

I have just bought a parrot rythym n' drive to replace the 6000cd in my 04 c-max. I know I need the 4 correct keys so as not to muller the dash , to get the stereo out. I have bought a din adapter to go in . What I need to do though is run the microphone up to the driver sun visor or centre light cluster (whichever gives better clarity on hands free). Does the A pillar trim come of easily or is ther another route ? Also whats the best route to get mic from back of stereo through ? Thanks

yep none fitted on mine either - dont worry

You could always get a pioneer DEH-P70BT , bluetooth is built in and all you have to do is run the mic up the A-pillar :D

Had exactly same problem on holiday in Cornwall on massive hill coming out of Newquay. Dealer told me exactly the same thing , they have had lots of people think its a fault , but dealer says if you ride it on biting point you must just tap brake pedal to activate a switch , which will then allow you to release the EPB.

I am averaging around 50 + in mine , if your only getting 36 I think you have definately got a fault !

Yep there is bumpy bits - just wasn't sure if it should be illuminated or not

Can someone tell me , when the lights are on at night should there be some illumination on the cruise control buttons and the stereo stalk control ?? There is none on mine and it makes it difficult to see what your doing ? :?: Thanks

Thanks for the tip Charlie Just tried it but still cannot open it from handle - only by pressing button on remote :(

I can only open the boot using the button on the keyfob - is this normal ? When the car is unlocked - I cannot open the boot from the handle I am wondering if maybe the locking has been programmed this way. I'm certain when I first got the car that I opened the boot just using the handle when the car was unlocked :?:

I would like to remove the 6000cd fitted in my C-max and replace it with a pioneer - where is the cheapest place to get the removal keys from ? Also where is the best place to get an ISO converter as they are different to a normal focus ? thanks

Picked up my 04 1.6tdci Ghia today :) Unfortunately I reckon Matlock Fords valeter must be blind , inside it is quite grubby :( . I also gave them a list of TSB's for the service they were doing before I picked it up , got home checked the cluster s/w and its 0422 :( Good price for the car - let down slightly by the experience I have to say I am very impressed with the midrange on the 1.6 , plenty for me
