A new challange from my wife, who drives the C-Max normally. This morning was first with frost on windscreen. She started car, put on A/C and Front Electric Screen to Demist, half closed drivers door and went back indoors to get Kids, bags etc to load in car. When she came back out, all 3 rear brake lights were apparently on. They stayed on even after opening and closing Tailgate. She says they were operating normally at bottom of road, (had my son check) Tried to reproduce it tonight to no avail (although low temp waring not active as this morning) I cannot find any reference in the m

Is it a straight 'take on out, put one in' job to change the standard CD6000 radio for 6 disc Sony one ?

Mine is 1.8 Ghia, 3 months old with 2500 on the clock. Its averaging according to the computer around 27mpg around town (mostly all Urban stuff) with the A/C on most of the time. I have done one run to Norfolk and back (4 up with luggage), average 80 on the Motorway, and over a week it was still only just over 27mpg on the trip. Manual calc for last week with a bit of heavy right foot, was just over 25mpg. I'm hoping it may improve a bit as the engine loosens up. But anything around 30mpg would be about right.

Manual page 50 (06/2004 version) Mine is an 05 1.8 Ghia with Auto Lights. It works regardless of whether the lights are on or Auto

Drive car with lights on. Park car. Turn off lights and ignition. Pull headlight flash arm once Lights should stay on, and turn off 30 secs after closing last door.

Dealer did say second key was not 'programmed', but works anyway. Maybe its just the exception to prove the rule (Maybe it was advance payment for 3 weeks dealer had car waiting for replacement for faulty Airbag !!)

I picked up my C-MAX in June from Ford Dealer in Bexley. It came with second key with buttons on like the previous Focus/ KA etc. They were fully programmed. This was not a special request, so it looks like some inconsistency with supply. Mine is a Ghia, does that make a difference ??

I have recently (July) picked up new 1.8 Ghia. It came with 2 remote keys. First is fancy new 'flip' key, second is old focus style key with buttons on Fob. Although dealer said second key was not programmed, it is fully functional on all 3 buttons. So you may not need extra key unless you want 2 'flip' style keys.

Mine is an 05 in 'Jeans' blue. Must say its a perfect match between Body and plastic bits !! Maybe its just because its a new colour (to C-Max) , and they havn't learnt how to screw it up yet. On my 2001 Focus Saloon (Silver), the paint between the doors and rear wing was apparently different shade. I enquired of dealer, who told me 'lots' of these look like that, due to way paint was applied, causing the metallic to lay in different directions. So depending how you looked at it, diiferent parts were lighter or darker.

Hi all. I have spanking new 1.8 Ghia (700 miles only). All seems well apart from a minor issue with 2nd gear. If you give it a bit of whelly in 1st, when changing up to 2nd, engine seems reluctant to rev and pull. Conversly if you change up early from 1st, you get plenty of grunt in 2nd. Anybody else noticed this, or do i just need to put some miles on it ?
