  1. The wife finally agreed to clean them after much persuation. Not sure about her choice of car-cleaning attire though! Then again, less to get wet. And if you believe that, then I'm better at telling 'porky pies' than I thought!
  2. Sorry, it's me again! I haven't noticed if the rear screen is tinted as well as the side (rear) windows. Is this the case, or is it just my eyesite. I am talking about the dealer option privacy glass by the way!
  3. These are a nightmare, especially trying to get into the gap between the spokes where all the brake dust collects. Not so bad if you have slim fingers. Now there's a thought.......The wife has slim fingers ! What do you think are the chances of that?
  4. Wheels as nice as these have got to be washed more than once a week. Besides, It gets my out of doing all the other household duties!
  5. So the flame effect graphics and the bonnet scoop would be a tad over the top then? I better cancel my bid on Ebay for the NOS injection system! Think I am trying to regain my youth (well at least a little bit) before cushions appear on the back shelf with knitted covers.
  6. Mine are no different. Clean the car on a Sunday, wheels filthy on a Tuesday. Quick rinse on a Wednesday ready again for the proper clean on the Sunday.
  7. Does anyone know if the optional Privacy Glass fitted on the C-max is an applied film or a tinted glass? I have it on mine, but to be honest have not looked close enough to be able to tell which of the above is correct. Unlike a lot of the dark smokey grey tints that you see on other vehicles, mine has an unusual Green tint which I am not sure I like. The other problem is that it would be very difficult to attempt a match on the front windows (Yes I know it is illegal !) but it looks so odd just having the rear windows tinted.
  8. 11) And the opportunity to come into contact with guy's like us. Priceless!
  9. Is it only me that likes those wheels. Must admit though that the design looks better on the Lambo.
  10. There always has to be one smart ar5e! Nice one !
  11. These are one of the options I mentioned above..........
  12. Christ, look at me posting all these new topics! Just wondered if anyone had considered replacing their oval Ford badges. My Max is in the Panther Black and to be honest, I dont think the Navy Blue background colour on the badge really goes. Am I really that sad, or have others contemplated a change? I have seen a number of other options available on Ebay and I believe that there are some available on this Forum with 'Focus' written on them instead of 'Ford'. There also appears to be some available with background colours to match your vehicle colour. Any feedback would be welcome or just
  13. Me too, even though I have had quite a bit of stick at work. Had it in the garage the other day and I was asked if it was there having the wheelchair ramps fitted. In my first week of ownership, I found a sticker on the reg plate with 'VATICAN APPROVED VEHICLE' written on it. & probably because mine has got the racier wheels on it, I have been classed as a RETIRED BOY RACER. To be honest though I really dont care and I am sure that if anyone of these smart alec's got behind the wheel they would completely change their view of what really is a cracking motor!
  14. The company I work for has quite a number of Mondeo's as company/fleet cars. I was having a nosey at the Ghia models today and noticed a number of design differences between these and the C-Max. Just wondered why the 'Max' does not fall in line with what seems like standard details for the Ghia. For instance, the chrome covered lower window seals to the sides of the car. The chrome infills on both the door handles and rear boot plate. The small 'classic style' Ghia badges to the rear window door trim. I can understand the lack of badges due to the Ghia logo on the front indicator cover-plate
  15. Just wondering how many of you have the additional rear boot mat (photo below) that I think comes as part of the 'traveller pack'. Just wanted to know what sort of quality it was and wther you would recommend it. I missed out on buying one of these on Ebay so if you know if anyone who has one for sale, I am willing to make a decent offer. Do you know if Ford sell these as individual items or if you have to buy the whole pack. If anyone is in the know, what sort of price are we looking at for a new one of these beasties? I have a luggage net by the way. Just after the mat.
  16. Have found a better photo of the knob in-situ. Might give you more idea of scale and as to whether it would suit your interior. I think the photo is taken from a Focus. I have to say that it does it for me!
  17. Does that mean that us C-Max owners are not "NORMAL" Quite like the thought of being a bit different I suppose!
  18. As someone that has never had them (xenon's that is!) what is the major benefit?
  19. What if you come to sell your vehicle. Would it not be handy to have a list of all the modifications that have been done while in your ownership. Surely there should be a section at the back of your service book to list these TSB's etc.
  20. topgazza, Which other knob is in the running. Something of a similar design or completely different. Sorry for being nosey, It's just that i hadn't considered any other type or make. Sorry, missed your last post. Is the knob compatable?
  21. Seriously though, could you let me know how you get on. I probably will look at replacing next month.
  22. Dont let the neighbours see you merrily tugging away at your knob. Those blue flashing lights could be embarassing!
  23. I think the colour is 'Jeans' which was added to the 2005 colour options.
  24. I think I have seen another thread on hear with regards to the gear knob. I think from memory that it simply unthreads, but is very tight to begin with. In fact I seem to recall the mention of molegrips. Yikes!
