  1. ..if it worries you a can of Scotchguard costs £4.99 and does the same job on a cloth interior and carpets.
  2. Its a compelling sales pitch isn't it ? Never, ever thought it was worth the expense. A good wax wash every week. If a leather interior a good clean and feed every now and then will do the job. Sheesh, with all the cleaning products on the market to clear up any mess its a waste of money. Nice little earner for the garage though.........
  3. Did you say "knob polishing"? Do you think I'll get called for some of that?
  4. Don't get carried away with ONE customer being taken care of. .....
  5. Now, I've driven a 2.0 TDCi Mondeo and it was very impressive. So if it hasn't the reliability issues of the PSA engine in the C-Max......... :)
  6. Is it a different engine than in the C-Max ? Hopefully.........
  7. Oh and the BBc are threatning to stop showing the matches on giant screens in city centres because England fans started fighting amongst themselves after the match...unbelievable Do we ever wonder why other countrties think we are "animals"...even the French...
  8. Good point. There was a lack of ambition. the Paraguayan players ,mentioned that some of the England players began to look tired in the 1st hal! To defend a 1-0 lead you have to do it higher up the pitch of course, its not rocket science but I think not putting Wallcot on was a mistake. He is young, fit and very fast. Unproven I know but he would have helped keep the ball higher up. You must listen to the BAddiel & Skinner podcasts at Timesonline.co.uk. Very funny and Baddiel likens Crouch to a 50p piece. In that he's a terrible header of the ball and when it "hits" his head you never k
  9. I agree. A good leather cleaner and a good leather feed. Process works well in the car as well.
  10. Thats a good price....I reckon "you" could get that off a dealer as well at the moment..
  11. Glasses isalmost certainly more accurate than the normal; car pricing sites and is more up to date. Sometimes I find eitherr Whatcar or Autotrader up to 2 months behind the rapidly changing market. Price still seems a bit low for te Nissan though but the dealer will price it at the bottom. He should tell you what he is offering so at ;east you know that the "premium" you will pay is worth it for the convienience of PX as it can be. Given the values you have worked on I would have thought the MAx is a bit dear as well but thats also where he has room for movement..so go for it. I think you're
  12. ...I am prone to exageration....... "No, really , you think?" i hear you all cry.............
  13. TDCIGHIA, I beg to differ my friend. Plenty of 2.0 TDCi around but you just need to spread the search patten a bit wider. But yes, tons of 1.6s which he was going to buy anyway so a 1.6 Ghia TDCi would be easier to find. At the , on the face of it, slowv6's situation being such a rip off I think a bit more searching would "pay" off
  14. Ok Depending on the exact model the Nissan (nice car by the way) if its a DCi - S is worth £7.5k trade and the lovely Cupra about the same if its an 2001 180 bhp version, so thats £14k + £3k cash thats £17k....you can get a new one for less than that... Walk away......and sell pirvately or if you don't want the hassle get a new one with the PX's buit I would def sell privately. Guide price for the C_max appears to be £11,900 retail and £10, 300 private. you do the math..... :)
  15. I think you need to know what his bottom cash price is. You will be losing a few thousand on the trade in mark downs and be better placed to get a short term loan and pay cash. Sell the cars privately and Bobs your uncle. price up your other cars on Autotrader and you will have a better idea of what he is giving you...or more to the point, taking away. Remember...there are loads of C-Maxs with the same spec out there so be patient. Convienience comes at a price and I doubt if you are getting a good deal overall. Find out what his cash price is.
  16. Ah, "shoot" . never realised how sweet a word that is.....
  17. I agree although I liked the analogy of not peaking too soon. Couple of things it was hot and I think they were planning to kill them off first half. The second half was classic Sven though. With "mental" substitutions and the now familiar defending in your own penalty area. We shall see what comes next...
  18. Your token dog pic looks like a shot dog. Caught him mid air as well
  19. Grand Scenics are not a typical hire car but they are nice. I forgot they were Opels outside the UK. If its a "normal" rental company the cars will not be more than 3 months old becuase they like to sell them with low mileage, be it all is a short space of time. Some keep them for 6 months but eitehr way it will be a new model. In terms of storage/space there wouldn't be a lot to choose between them.
  20. Its only what I've read......is that thing loaded ?
  21. Of course the 6 & 7th seeat just fold under the floor but they are not comfortable seats for anything other than a very small child or as baby seat as you say.. i would def go and look at one if it saves you a few bob.
