  1. The visibilty pack contains three items - Auto Lights, Auto Wipers and Auto dimming rear view mirror. Not sure on price of the 4 electric windows/global closing and you are only likely to get this by popping into a dealer and get them to check their ordering system or phoning Ford. I would guess at a price round £250 but that is a complete guess ;)
  2. Nope affraid not. With the standard connection all that is passed is the music and no controls. I think if your unit had a CD Autochanger capability but no changer fitted then I think there are IPod kits which uses this port to fake the stereo in believing you have a changer fitted so you can switch between tracks...but thats it.
  3. If you have an AUX button on your stereo and all goes quite when your press it then you should be able to set up a lead. There is a separate thread about DVD SatNav which has the wiring diagrams for the quadlock connector. Just connect your lead to the AUX L, AUX R & AUX GRND pins and it should work ok.
  4. BMW diesels do sound good when they are warm....and I suppose most diesels are not too bad on the go....but first thing in the morning there is no getting away from it's agricultural roots ;). Having said all this if there was a diesel Focus ST I would be seriously tempted based on the miles I do.....although as there is not then the gas guzzling petrol will have to do ;)
  5. There will be a grey circle with a 3.5mm socket if you do have one. If not there will be a black blanking plate next to the latch.
  6. Interesting thought and it would be nice if this is the case.....but it certainly has not been the case on the mk1 and can't see the mk2 being any different. I reckon there will be two or three loom builds and different models share these. As the ST can have pretty much all the ghia/titanium options (apart from the lights.....;) ) then I would have though that it would get the same loom....but you never know.
  7. The Standard fit/immobiliser on the Ghia, Titanium and ST is a Thatcham Category 1....which is the best you can get. Obviously a tracker will provide extra security in the event they arrive with a tow truck.
  8. Have a look in the glovebox. If you have it will be in there. I think it is near the latch.
  9. This is where we may struggle as the ST starts life as a Sport which probably has a different loom to that of the Ghia. As souch I doubt these connectors exist.....but it certainly would be good to look for them. If someone who has them could let us know where they are then perhaps an ST owner will check to see what is there instead.
  10. Nothing really. Just firmer and sportier tuned suspension and the seats are a more supportive....but not quite full on bucket seats.
  11. This has been discussed elsewhere and I think the answer was no.
  12. Mmmm not sure. Nothing in the specs relating to this. I know this is a standard feature on Audi's but I don't think this has ever been the case on Fords. Perhaps in their attempt to become more germanic they may have now added this feature....but if they have they are certainly not bragging about it. If you opt for the keyfree option (£300-350 option I think) then when you (the keyfob) exceed a certain distance from the car it does lock automatically. Having said all this, not sure if there is anything linked in with the supplied CAT1 alarm/immobiliser. Being a CAT1 system it would have t
  13. Lol it is a £17500 car and you should be able to get a discount of £1-3k with a bit of digging. It is only a £20k car if you buy it from a non-discount giving dealer and spec it up to the max ;) Seriously though I know what you are saying and maybe even partially agree with you......but it is certainly not going to stop me buying this car. If you are really that miffed about missing footweel and vanity mirror lights....and can't be bothered adding them youself.....maybe you should try the Golf GTI as this comes with both as standard.....oh and a £3k price hike before you start adding gadg
  14. I very much doubt any dealer would agree to the spec you are referring to.....and even if they did write it on your order, there would probably be a disclaimer in the small print. Buy yourself a torch....order the car and enjoy it for what it is....a fast, fairly cheap Ford.
  15. You are wrong there Enkidu as the website and all documentation come with the following type of disclaimer (I took this from the website): Good luck on any legal proceedings though ;)
  16. I have updated the main post by adding the fact that the 10way seats are manual not electric as there still seems some confusion over these.
  17. Aye I found the new Zetec a little softer than the original but I think this is just because the new focus is better insulated and suspension much better set up so the car is not so harsh. Apparently it is supposed to be as comfortable as the old ghia but still sporty. Strangely I found the ST suspension probably no harsher than my current MK1 zetec but the handling is obviously much much better.
  18. Same in the A4.....far too agressive and I have always found dual settings pointless. If I had the choice of manual aircon and satnav then that is the option I would select but climate is part of the package :?
  19. Submarine lighting has been done by VW/Audi for years now so really just another attempt to be more 'Germanic'.
  20. Wonder if you can order it with footwell lights over there too? Bit of a moot point though as neither is possible over here in our little right hand drive bubble ;)
  21. Apparently not. I hear the BT kit is the biggest prob as it's one of the most requested extra. Batches of the kit are only coming in in small numbers and as such delays are growing. I am sure they will get it sorted soon but no promises from them.
  22. Wow not long to wait. Hope you enjoy it. Mine will be ordered next weekend. I will be interested to hear how you get on with the satnav.
  23. Yes but this is also a black car with the orange seats....which is not a possible combination. These cars are pre-production press cars so the specs are not correct. Not sure what you mean here? To open the bonnet you spin the badge out of the way and use the key in the lock behind? I am really hoping that, like the mk1 the footwell lights are present but just either not connected or no bulb....but I have a feeling there will be no wiring or light. Anyone with an ST willing to check this?
  24. mmmmm  I thought it looked a bit swedish
