  1. Depends on your capabilities really but its a relativley simple job, The bracket is Mig welded on, you will need to cut it off as close to the exhaust as possible either manually (hacksaw) of with a grinder, then dress up the excess left from the removal with an angle grinder or maybe your dremel will do this, take your time as the bracket & exhaust are only mild steel and soft and you don't want to put a hole in the pipe,
  2. This was what I saw when I went to see mine prior to PDI...... needless to say I took delivery (I had no choice needed the car) the car with the fault written into the delivery paperwork as unacceptable. I have so far had this bumper sprayed and it went darker, then had a replacement bumper fitted which is loads better but not perfect. So will keep an eye on the outcome........... Original bumper pictures :?
  3. Yes, 2 ways (obvious i know) mask and spray or take them out. I had mine done by my Ford dealer bodyshop, they did them in situ, really pleased with the outcome the black stands out so much.
  4. Pictures of mine Before After Close up Sorry about pictures but weather has been rubbish
  5. Will put some on of mine after the weekend, I have had the whole section done not just the eyebrows
  6. I Have had my front fog surrounds coded, Paid £30 and very happy with results
  7. I ordered a full size steel spare as an option on my Titanium, it cost £30 "IMHO" the space savers are useless I felt after previously having one and having a puncture with 150 mile journey to still do. who wants to drive with a half size tyre at a max of 50mph, and you can guarantee you get a puncture at silly hours or on the motorway and who wants to pay for a call out, or be stuck on the hard shoulder. You can always take out the full size when you need the extra room...
  8. I was advised of this at the time (OF ORDERING) and was also advised of the limited types of cradles & as I wanted to use 2 seperate phones (1 nokia 1 samsung) declined this option and chose the voice/bluetooth option (which has stopped working after 2 weeks)
  9. Thanks for the reply's will go fuse hunting and advise.....
  10. The bluetooth/voice activation has stopped working and after reading the manuals I cannot see a way of turning it on/off (which I thought I may of done by accident) so I am presuming it has gone faulty. The phone button on the stereo now just mutes the audio and there is no phone menu available, the voice control button now does nothing. Any ideas or is it a trip to the dealer :?
  11. The bumper & car panels are sprayed in different locations by different methods from new & there is no "texture" difference, any quality bodyshop will produce an as new finish.. If they don't I will not accept it I knew this might happen upon delivery and I would rather have a resprayed but matching bumper rather than have to look at the different colours and it spoil the looks.
  12. Picked my new Titanium 2.0 TDCI, As fearded the front bumper match is crap, I noted on the handover/acceptance sheet that I was not satisfied with it. When I got home I found both the Sony stereo & Bluetooth voice controls manuals were missing. The following morning both manuals were available and it agreed that the bumper will be sprayed to the correct colour. The negatives have been turned around by excelent dealer customer service. I doubt I would have noticed the front bumper at the time without redaing about on this Forum ............... So Thanks
  13. Its a bit of a question really as to answer without checking it is impossible, I would doubt there is any major damage as you would know about by now such as spring or shockabsorber damage. Depending on your relationship with your dealer you could get them to do a courtesy check (f.O.C), Only you know how bad you bottomed it out though.. Hope this helps
  14. Drove past Paynes Hinckley today and they have a new St parked on the front in Orange, even at a distance of 30 feet away the front bumper looked loads darker and this a demo...... the saga goes on
  15. Hi all, Been reading this about the colour mis-match, got me worried as I have a Titanium on order due end Dec, just seen one in the same colour and the front bumper is about 5 or 6 shades out. I am going to look at the car as soon as it hits the dealers to check to save the frustration and delay on delivery (or else I might as well wait till Jan). I used to collect parts for Jaguar mirror casings petrol filler flaps and other plastic items they were made and pre spayed by the suppliers and I suppose this is where the problem is then the parts pre sprayed by a third party....?????
