  1. Don't think you'll ever find a decent ford dealer!!!! My cousin works at one north yorkshire dealer and some of the stories i've been told about ford 'customer care' are incredible. The only answer is not to but a ford in the first place. I learnt after living with a c-max 2.0ltr diesel for 6 months and visiting Ringways in Doncaster almost every other week. If only i'd read these sites before buying it. Good luck with the fight against ford, but remember that this is a company that put a price on lives during the 70's verses cost of modifying a car. Cost of death claims was worked out to be
  2. Having purchased a 2.0tdci and subsequently having it written off following a accident I've done much more research on the next car. We were gobsmacked at fords customer service and as a result haven't even considered another ford. We made it clear when visiting dealers (whizzpopper/toyota/skoda/honda/seat/vw) that the usual 15min run around the local streets was not good enough and we wanted at least a 2hr test drive to cover a variety of roads. This caused concern for most salesmen but when we started to walk away they soon had a change of heart and they, along with there managers came chas
  3. Was the C-Max you were driving a company car or did you spend your own hard earned cash on it? It's a pity the clever chaps at Ford haven't realised that 'half a brain and some foam' can sort out the dash :? You must have been lucky and the C-Max you drove must have been one of the few that wasn't built on a Friday afternoon :!: No need to attack people personally on a site such as this, messages like yours are normally reserved for the football sites.
  4. 2.0ltr tdci 04 reg....... Take my advise and don't buy a c-max. They are trash thats been stuck together with spit. I'm sure the poor chaps that build these things weren't given any tools!! Good points:- nippy when you need it. Bad points:- shocking Ford customer service, rattling dashboard (it drives you mad), Fuel economy once ford updated software, seats mark very easy, engine judder at 1800-1900 rpm (ford can't fix), parcel shelf made of paper, sound cutting out on stereo, boot too narrow, uncomfortable on long journey. I hated this car that much that when it met it's death in a ditch th
  5. My 2ltr tdci c-max 04 reg has just been written after a bad accident and none of the air bags went off. The only bits that weren't bent were the 2 drivers side doors. The roof was actually touching the rear headrest on the passengers side. The insurance chap said he was concerned that no air bags fired. The car ended up on it's side in a ditch!!!!!
  6. I've had my 2ltr diesel about 6 months and always got good fuel economy (on 37mile run to work 56-60mpg) and at least 46mpg on other driving, although i'm no speed merchant. The car went in for the rear brake problem and the Radio (again) and when i picked it up i was told that a software update had been done (nov 18th). Since this date my fuel economy has dropped to 49mpg on run to work and 40mpg if i'm lucky on other driving. Had car back to garage to be told "Nothing wrong" Anyone else had this experience :?: Also i've had problems with engine judder at about 1850 revs in 4th and keep g
