Hi guys. I just had my rattel in the boot fixed by the dealership. they said they removed and adjusted the lower panel. The rattle is gone, however I when to use my boot there and it would not open, so as you do I pulled harder. It is hard to open now, the cause they have wrapped some back tape arround the locking pin. Ie the back bar the lock does arround. This mAKES the opening hard as it catches. BUT THE RATTLE IS GONE. I THINK ILL LEAVE IT ALONE.

I Guys I just have a quick question did the MKII Focus 1.6 100bhp get carried over from the MK1 or is it a new unit. Does any one have a bluefin? I know as my unit is lower power and as it is a non tubro it will not give a large increase, Am only interested cause I seem to have a few flat spots. Thanks for your advice.

HI MY HAND BRAKE WAS RUBBISH, MY DEALERSHIP FIXED IT TODAY. MIGHT HAVE BEEN OVER KEEN ONLY COMES UP 2 CLICKS NOW. BUT IT WORKS, SHAME THEY DID NOT SERVICE MY CAR, BUT I SUPPOSE YOU CAN'T BE PICKY, IF YOU BOOK YOUR CAR IN FOR A SERVICE & THE HANDBRAKE YOU CAN'T EXPECT THEM TO DO BOTH. ON A PLUS SIDE THEY DID STEAL MY KEY RING, SO I QUESS I SHOULD BE HAPPY!! :shock:

Thanks to the support guys. But am happier they did fix two things!! The rattle in the boot. So so happy about that. to cut a long shorty short have had 3 rear screens. & very very very loud rattles from the trim, was driving me mad. As I have speed bumps on the way home. I only noticed there. Gone Completly away & the handbrake is fiXED. BUT Since I now have no rear rattle I have noticed the dreaded creck from the passager side Window. It seemed to stop when I put it down. However there was none from my side & there was rubbish down the side of the door. I pray it was that.

4 weeks ago I got my recall leter for the rear wiper. So I when to my dealership, they needed to ordered the parts. That was fine I booked it in for today & To get a service while their & repair some of my problems. I even printed them out (problems) and handed them the sheet today. Was at a meeting so was late getting back to the dealership, they had keys with the sales dept. First I was handed my keys, minus my keyring. I did not get my recall work down, they have to order the parts. They did NOT SERVICE MY CAR. They did not return my service book back. I did not get my Rad

Just a quick question guys. Since I have got my focus I have always used BP as recommended by ford. I always used the BP Ultimate 97 Ron. I am happy enought and my motor is returning 36.5MPG 1.6 100BHP. Costs a little more, however my last car had to run super so used to the price (kind off) Do any of you guys use this fuel or find it worth while, but my BIG question is Every other fuel manufactor uses 98 RON, but I have noticed Saintburys fuel is 97 RON. Well I know a supermarket must buy their fuel of someone. Is it BP, If it is I would save 10 pence a litre. Any One know

Yes most of us already know, However for any new members, The Zetec model does not come with footwell lights, however as the Zetec base is used for the next models up, all the fitting are in place. So go to halfords get bulbs 5w type 501 £1.99 or ice blue £3.99 501lb and stick them in. To check you have them you really have to look under the dash( either side) at top is grey holders, check back thorugh the topics for pic.# I just think this is such a good simple & cheap upgrade. Dont want new members to miss out.

Loweman, was your sony unit New or used? Just got one of ebay. dazra if you want one the guy said he had 3 I got one & so did another guy, so he may have one left. I paid £200 + £20 p&P (brand new, from ford parts direct) Just not keen on this whole having to go to the dealership thing. So loweman, you have no trouble at all.

Hi quys ordered a K & N replacement air Filter for my Zetec 1.6 Was in two minds, but for the sake of £36.99 I'll give it ago. The guys in the Tech section seem to love them, I did not go for the induction kit, two much hassle, too much noise, suffer from heat soak and you have to mess arround with the air box and hoses. Do not really want to do that to a new car. When I have it in I plan to do a few tests & post what I find. The areas I will be interested in . Does it improve the Perforance any? Does it cause any problems. ie poor running/ starting What effect does it have on MP

Why don't you go for the 1.6 TDCI, It is almost as quick as the 1.8TDCI. The focus is great for long trips. I had a fiesta all week, mine in dealership, the focus is far far better. The mrs would only allow me to sent Under £14k for a new motor and I was in two minds about the Fiesta ST or the Focus Zetec. I made the right choice Also try www.bell.co.uk for your insurance for drivers under 25 with none or 1,2 yr no claims. Cheaper than anywhere else I could find. The site lets you quote for diff cars so you can compare the 1.6TDCI with say the petrol or 1.8TDCI Hope this helps
