  1. Mark - If you click http://www.ccturner.clara.net/pannes_c-max.htm you should be able to see a copy. Joe, That is I think what we call an "Ultima" in this country 8) Very nice motor m8. Thats how all CMax's should look. Yup is very beautiful. Bet your pleased with it? I cannot see a TDCi badge - is that the 2.0 petrol version? I've not heard any opinions from a petrol owner with this engine - would you be willing to offer us a review of how you like the vehicle/opinions/criticisms? Being really cheeky now  Any chance of photo's of the interior? Chris
  2. Hehe, shame babelfish not good at translating back on itself :/ http://world.altavista.com/ Joe - I hope you understood the translation?
Chris
  4. Hello again, Justice - Does this mean when i pop the Meguiars Polish on my car that its claim of popping replenishing oils into my paintwork is a con trick? Wouldn't surprise me :( I was so wary of using the Mer after seeing this as I had read on a number of forums of this kind of experience when using Mer by a number of long term users. I guess more victims of FUD by the manufacturers. Not a problem now as I don't use it. Been very happy with the Meguiars stuff (apart from getting the stuff on the plastic and it being nigh on impossible to get off permanently). Thanks for the info on the
  5. Hello again guys, All this talk about car cleaning is making me feel ill  Eugh  Craig - Whatever you do, DO NOT USE MER POLISH to clean and polish your paintwork. It takes all the goodness (oil?) out of your paintwork under the lacquer and leaves it looking like crazy paving! My old man used it religiously for 4 years on his old Rover and the paintwork was like a fine meshed crazy paving when he offloaded it. It is banned from our house now and will never go near our cars. You will know the stuff as its grey sticky liquid and smells like it has some kind of petroleum spi
  6. Cheers guys for the reassurance on the judder fix :) How long have you had your cars for? I have had mine for just short of 6 months and when I first got it, it too had the creaks etc from the dash/dash cubby hole, and also the plastic coming down the front screen pillars. Over time this seems to have dissapeared, and I can only assume it may be that an accumulation of dust or something has lubricated the plastic rubbing against plastic and reduced the noise to a level I do not notice now. You may find letting the car get a bit dusty inside may help? Chris
  7. You need to be precise m8. You must not offer any room for manouvere for FMC. We don't want them adding another link in the chain now do we?
  8. Justice - Are you sure this is the fix that cures it, because Ford Technical told me that attempts were underway but as of last week no fix had been released that worked :? Also the dealer said that latest software they had tried with other customers who had same problem was hoped to cure problem but infact did not. I await eagerly for someone to have the fix applied to an afflicted vehicle and post their joy. Trying not to get my hopes up.
  9. Justice - You missed someone out m8   hmmmm?
  10. Hello again Doug, Nice to hear it won't be long before your in the fold proper :) Looking forward to hearing your opinions on the motor when it arrives. Chris
  11. Yup, should have taken more notice of what you were saying Justice. A very sorry state of affairs. I just noticed that "pj" has posted that his car appears to be fixed of the missing in the power delivery :) If only I wasn't being forced into waiting for a new clock cluster :( Be interesting to see how Ford try to smooth things over with us irate owners  I am continually at the moment being reminded by everyone I talk to - WTF did you buy new, there's no point, you get nothing in return for the extra money! I'm at present very upset about this as i'm sure others are on this for
  12. yay (does happy dance round room) Hi pj, Thanks for letting us all know that things are looking sorted at last 8) Whats your car like when you try to pull away in 2nd gear from walking pace? Is it still really sluggish or more like a petrol would be? Does the Aircon make any noticeable difference? Sorry to badger you with questions, hope you don't mind? Chris
  13. Thanks for your moral support guys - fraid i'm not in a coherent state to answer you's in full now due to drowning ones sorrow  I can live with the Ka, quite like it actually - just its the principal that they liaised this with the dealer and thought to take the cheapest option without asking me. Hell i'm not important being someone who was kind enough to buy one of their vehicles, hell I didn't HAVE to  I am feeling royally * * * * at buying new and getting treat like this. FCRC said they would ring a couple days later after the car went in - hello FCRC? Also FCRC had the audaci
  14. Topscal - I agree with you. This ownership ordeal is turning into a farce :( They already agreed to a commitment replacement in principal as long as the car was verified by a dealer doing the warranty work can confirm they cannot fix the fault I have complained about. Ford have handled this badly and should have just got me to get the fault verified, not the car worked on as well. So they have delayed my satisfaction by three weeks, left me with a car that is not suitable for my needs and have not followed this up with me personally like they said they would at FCRC. Also the console FCRC shou
  15. Small update:- Car has been in for a week now but the garage are having problems getting a new Console Cluster from Ford to replace the faulty one they could not program. This means my car is undriveable at the moment and Ford estimate delivery of part to be September 10th. In the meantime Ford have agreed to pay for the hire of my Ford Ka courtesy car till then. Looks like a parts shortage on the CMax :( Oh well. To be continued ..............
  16. Yup, your right about the PDI now I think about it. PDI for some dealers may mean kick tyres and a quick nosey round the car while ticking boxes with reckless abandon  Hehe. Keep telling her how beautiful she looks in the morning. Putty in your hands m8  Just got a phone call letting me know my car won't be ready till 10th September as the Instrument Cluster is not currently available till then and is on back order. Looks like i'm going to be running around in the Ka for a while yet, oh well :? Will do, and yourself 8)
  17. I was thinking more along the lines that they just checked the car over and made sure it was 100% and everything made perfect before it went out the door. When you receive a car and then discover as you go along faults turning up here and there it dampens the owners experience and I feel that these long term test vehicles are not giving the testers the whole picture  People are buying CMax's thinking everything will be like the adverts with these magazines backing Ford up. Big surprise coming if they get one like mine or many others have on this forum.
  18. Hehe, You got me thinking Craig  I've had to waste 3 full days @ £150 per day (my time costs money), over 700 miles in motoring and Diesel up and down the country. Most recently looking like losing the car for a week if not more. Found the need to introduce my car to 3 seperate dealers to get anywhere. FCRC fobbed me off the first time telling me I had to go through the originating dealer so delaying the inevitable. Having to endure 5 months of being patient waiting for Ford to fix the engine management issue - How long does it take? Only now all my other issues being fixed due to deal
  19. Its funny but first time I contacted FCRC for assistance with my problems they were'nt particularly interested, just handing me back to the dealer  A later attempt some time later was totally different and much more like I would expect to be treated. You could be right that someone has taken it upon themselves to reorganise how things are dealt with. Keep them on their toes m8
  20. Eugh, that doesn't look good :( When I had my CMax I remember there were some electrics etc in a rubber boot that connected from the boot near the hinges to the main body of car. Could it be the left hand one of these that has become damaged or dislocated?
  21. Hehe, I think you may be right about getting stroppy for recompense. Trouble is i'm not that kind of person and it would upset me more than them  Guess i'll have to grasp the nettle so to speak. I don't know about the 2004.25 cars but I do notice that the 2.0 TDCi has more than its fair share of issues at point of delivery. I have noticed that when looking through the list of owner defects on that link offered in another thread to that French owners listing the Petrol cars listed there appear to suffer a lot less problems than the Diesels. This just reaffirms my suspicions that its an ea
  22. Cheers Obasa, You had me worried there for a moment. If my cars ready tomorrow i'll ask them about this when I pick it up. Chris
  23. c-max_Daz - You sound like you've been better treated than me :( I did'nt chop a car in, paid cash, had loads of problems, was patient, now only starting to get somewhere but they have not offered me anything for my significant inconvenience in time and money. In contrast to how some of you guys feel you have been treated I feel I have been taken for a mug. I'm going to catalogue my experience from start to end and see what Ford are going to do about it. Sad thing is i've always been polite, never been rude or raised my voice and been overly patient in the hope my politeness would be returned
  24. Hehe, cheers Justice. Its a big county Essex. Is there any way we can get more precision?
  25. Obasa - Is this only relevant to the 1.6 TDCi or the 2.0 TDCi as well? I know that Ford are having problems with the flybywire throttle and the PCM (I think thats the right bit?) causing the flatspot/missfire/hesitation (take your pick) problem when encountering "tip-toe" driver throttle input. There's a lot of FUD going around about this at the moment but appears to be a hardware problem so wonder if this could be related?
