  6. Does anyone know where I can buy one for a 2.0 TDCi? I have an annoying squeak coming from behind the dash and the dealer who looked at it (for 3 days) think it is a bracket on the safety cage where the body is flexing as the car goes round corners. They also said they don't want to take the dash out cos that will create even more squeaks/rattles and may not rectify the problem  .....so I'm thinking that stiffening the body up with a strut brace may be the solution  Any ideas guys/gals?
  7. You should also get used to looking in your rear view mirror and seeing clouds of black smoke when you have your heavy boots on
  8. It doesnt. It should mean you use more fuel getting the extra weight moving
  9. I have a 2.0 TDCi estate and I get about 35 mpg on average although on a run with a roof box and with weight on I have averaged over 50 mpg It all ultimately depends on how heavy your boots are

  17. Which Allens did it go into? Mine went into Upminster (who I'm told are very good) and I'm told they just tightened up the suspension and if we still get problems give them a ring......well they can expect a phone call
  18. Mine does this too! Is this a known problem just like the suspension creak?
  19. Tony you've really p****d me of now :x Just had a 3rd year service done at Allens Oil £11.12 Gasket £0.36 Element(oil) £11.03 "Element"? £25.54 Filter(odour) £14.91 Brake fluid change £34.00 Total including vat £305.78 This seamed quite steap at the time but now i'm realy hacked off It also went in for the steering creak to be looked at and has come out of the dealers worse than it went in!!! :x
  20. So I take it from the response, that means it is still a case of badger the dealer until it's fixed!!!
  21. Sorry to drag this back up again, but is this the difinitive answer as to why the steering creaks?
