Sadly with just 83 miles on the clock at 11:30 this morning, my new focus (1.6vct 3dr Zetec Climat) decided that gears 1, 3 & 5 are no longer required! :shock: Got the car home using 2nd and 4th!!! Been on the phone to the dealer at 11:50 this morning, asked if I could get the car to them? erm, no - asked for them to come and get it. Not a problem they said, will fetch it first thing in the morning. What about a car I said.....no problem we can sort a Mazda (they have ford and mazda dealers next to each other!) out for you straight away, do you want it delivered later or do you wan

Drove 20 miles this avo all on bypass. Average of about 70ish 1.6vct was reading 47.9 until i put my foot down a bit and all too rapidly it went to 43.4mpg...all together happy with that. Around town, don't really do enough driving to give you a figure on that - bypass all the way for me to go to work :D Only had the car yesterday evening, so will about date this as and when!

Ive got the tonic colour, picked it up yesterday and it looks fine!!!! :D Wonder if anybody has ordered Honour Green yet???? :roll:

Just picked mine up. Mines a 1.6vct 3dr in tonic - zetec climate, sony mp3, esp, styling pack Everything fine except: No instructions for the stereo No mats in the syling pack!!!! Bothe being sorted tomorrow, they had to put an order through to ford for the mats, listening to it on the speaker phone, i had the last set in the country!!! wtf are Ford playing at?!?!?! Can anybody confirm whether there is an instruction book for the Sony???

Ordered mine 8th of Jan, pick it Thursday, so about 8-9 weeks ish. Mine was delayed on the build from 2nd of Feb to 14th of Feb, ordered ESP on mine to. Think the problem could be something to do with the rear discs, as you only get them as standard on diesel and 2.0 litre models. For the ESP to work you have to have discs alround...wonder if they wasn't expecting the demand??

Ordered mine 8th of January, build date originally 2/2 changed to 14/2, took 3 weeks to get into the country alone after that, its at the dealers now, will be picking it up next Thursday. 1.6vct Zetec Climate 3dr in Tonic Sony CD/MP3 player Esp/Traction Interior Styling kit

My name is Gary the 2.0 is going soon so will have to find out if i can replace it with 1.6vct?!? oh the 1 series is also uuuurrgggghhhhhh as well as being overpriced! Yep every car maker respects his opinion whether they like it or not is another matter...remember the slating of the vectra?? Agree...wouldnt accept the car until its sorted!! Going to go over mine with a fine tooth comb when it turns up, im hearing there has been a few supply problems and some of the cars have few strange additions!

Have you ordered 3 or 5 door? I know they key free system is not available on the 3 door until June this year at the earliest. Not sure about the glass though. I've ordered a 3dr 1.6vct zetec with ESP & Sony CD, ordered 8th of Jan, original build date was 2/2/5 so was expecting to pick it up today, but the build date changed to 14/2/5, so could be at least another 2 weeks. They have told me that Ford are churning out the straight order (no options) cars first so that could be the reason for delay

There are loads of deals about, your priv discount sounds pretty normal round about 25%, yours seems more but I wouldnt complain!!!! Do know that the TDCi's have been removed from priv for the time being though due to supply problems. Spoke to the local dealer today. My 1.6vct looks as though the delivery has been delayed, March 1st might be off!!!!! :( Anyway they also said the the TDCi has been removed from the privilege scheme for new orders, due to supply problems! You'd of thought this sort of demand would of been anticipated... :?

Question: Im having the 1.6vct, rear disc brakes are not standard, althouth I have ordered the ESP, does that mean it will come with discs on the rear also? Anybody know?? I'd of thought it would otherwsie the esp wouldnt work properly, would it??

I thought it was having the same engine as the mondeo st220?? Anyway I'm sure it will do what it says on the tin whatever engine it may have!! There will be some 'official' photos of the ST in next weeks Auto Express. I'm not talking photoshop jobs....these will be Ford official pictures.
