  2. I must be lucky too then on my second MK2 and no problems touch wood with either like that
  3. which warranty issue do you mean? ie ford refusing to pay out because autoglass changed the windscreen? - well ford would know because autoglass dont usually use the same glass as ford but autoglass also do a guarantee for life i believe - my heated screen broke after they changed my screen and i went to them as they were the last ones who touched it and they replaced the screen again for me
  4. My 1.6 TiVCT used to do 35mpg and that was with 21000 on the clock - my 2.0 TDCI is currently doing 44mpg with me booting it
  5. http://www.msdesigndirect.com/product.p ... e1c1f5bc77 has a price
  6. Not heard anything about boot leaks but i havent seen or heard enough about any of them really
  7. I just run the parts website for a ford garage but i was talking to one of the mechanics the other day and he said 90 mins for lowering springs - ours charge £80 an hour so would be £120 but someone on here the other day was saying they were paying £60 an hour at their local ford garage ... so it depends really and occasionally they do have set prices for doing certain things
  8. True i dont see one listed for the 1.8 TDCI but the other kit fits all the other diesels so i dont see why it wouldnt be ok for the 1.8 but yeah the price sounds about right If you want to make 100% sure send eibach a quick email on sales@eibach.co.uk always found them pretty helpful and quick at responding
  9. The fitting by ford is more important than the buying from ford i believe if you dont get it done by them you will lose the warranty as far as i am aware
  10. i think - although admittedly i am not 100% sure but to guarantee you don't mess up the warranty they are supposed to be bought and fitted by Ford They should be £135.01 retail from Ford by the way so i think thats about the same as european parts when you include shipping and cheaper than ESP
  11. they do look brilliant on my black car i have to say
  12. The jennings ford website would be wheels only i imagine - thats about how much Ford wheels cost
  13. Just put my smoked headlights on today so think i will be getting some of these next being an estate the white bits of the rear lights are already "smoked"
  14. I just pay for my service to get the book stamped - job done that and i dont have a clue btw ours charge £80 + VAT an hour
  15. 2 i believe would be heated front window as you say - 1 would be heated front seat i think but if thats the case would have thought 4 would have had one in as well for the drivers seat?
  16. sorry mate i agree with the others i wouldnt give anyone my phone number (or my dads) or let them come anywhere near my car and certainly wouldnt tell them everything id done to it - agree with the above post it sounds like a shopping list! And i wouldnt trust that the car they came in and you have the reg number of is theirs either - when we had a focus nicked from work a couple of months ago they came in one car to get the info they wanted and to nick the key and another to nick the car, both of which the police were sure didnt belong to them anyway sorry - im a bit of a cynic
  17. Standard CAT1 - dont see much need for anything else its as sensitive as it needs to be and has a button for me to turn the interior bit off when i leave the dog in there so ideal really
  18. Not changed one here i dont touch the car i let the garage do it because im lazy!
  19. well usually ford dealers charge for it so if he didnt have to pay it probably did take a bit of persuasion hehe
  20. If you really cant get it why not just get it from your ford dealer? The guy i knows who always changes an MP3 player for 6cd is because altho he knows how 2 use a computer for work etc hes not into MP3s and doesnt really want to be but he has loads of cds
  21. I thought the MK1.5 only carried on until 05 reg which was the overlap with the new shape starting - the 54 reg new shape were mainly demonstrators
  22. I want ST220 wheels :D but i did look at a sea grey with the 18" ford ones in anthracite and it looked good
  23. You can buy them from halfords or go to ford but ford dont like us selling them! - or you can buy them on ebay but if you only need them once you may as well go down your local dealership and they will do it for you
  24. I dont know if the wiring is there but i do know that ford sell a fog lamp kit which doesnt include the wiring - to me that would imply they do have the wiring but im not 100% sure
