  1. looks great mate ,if you dont mind how much did it set you back , ps nothing wrong with lx sellouts lol
  2. been doing somework over weekend ,starting to come together finally (1600 lx )
  3. hi mate could be an abs sensor off but could be either faulty dash or pcm both comon faults either way would need to be into dealers and on ids for diagnostic checks
  4. you do realise dont you that all the latest ford plastics will never match perfectly to the paint finnish on the vehicle , just check out any new focus the bumpers will allways be a shade out , this is due to a reaction between the paint and something in the ford plastic , this is more noticable on silver but can be seen on all colours except white ,black and may be harder to see on really dark colours , sorry i cant help you on the bracket question ,but suggest pm tezza in the "ask tezza forum"
  5. quite a few of theese style lights do this not only fords , if it disapears within a few minuites of turning your lights on ford will say that is acceptable if not seek getting it changed under wty
  6. really easy ,just pull of the upper fog light trim with your bare hands (no need to use screwdriver ect) then pull off the foglight surround ,same again with hands , then undo the two screws (from memory i think there torx screws but could be pozzi drive, pull the light forwards undo clip for bulb conector ,simple push in and pull conector ,then reverse for fitting new lamp , this is really straight forward and you should have no problems ,ps the new lamp will come with new bulb and holder anyway
  7. you can check out a pic of uk car with cc bumper on here (not mine) http://www.ffoc.co.uk/modules.php?name= ... c&t=174459 but also you would need new grille lower (unlike st you can still use your chrome upper ) and new fog surrounds also , here are the part no,s and prices as supplied by tezza (many thanks) , unfortunatly the bumper is a bit more than i thought though Front bumper 1451741 @ £141.00 (primed only) Fog surrounds RH 1457224 @ £43.48 LH 1457225 @ £43.48 Lower grille 1503442 @ £46.12 if you good at spraying i would say go for it and spray it your
  8. yep that is indeed a focus cc front bumper £126 from ford and mondeo alloys ,st side skirts , and painted rear lower bumper valance , all parts can be bought in uk from ford dealer , thinking of going for the cc bumper myself , but would of been nice to see standard on a few more models , gives it the look of the face lift due out (minus the lights )
  9. yep just to agree with mikeyg , st will not fit with out cutting out spare wheel well and welding a new plate over the hole , ditching the spare and useing the st continental tyre repair kit , but could be woth doing if you want an exact replica
  10. sorry mate cant suggest anywhere , but ford book time is 4 hours ,1 hour per spring , to be honest anyone who can do it in 90 mins is extreamly fast , saying that in reality it useally takes about 2 hours or a tad more to do , i would say kwick fit would be a good choice as they do springs and shockers all day long , hope you get sorted
  11. glad your sorted , pads are useally good for a minimum of 25,000 miles on these cars unless you are particully heavy on them , they would be checked by the dealer on each service but only through the wheel rim with a light , the rear pads / shoes are checked / cleaned out every 37500 mls on 55 and under cars and every 50,000 mls on 56 and over cars ,but again are checked each service only through the rim or the spy hole in the back plates
  12. hi mate , easisest way to solve this now that you have tried to start the car is : 1st of all take fuel filter back off and fill it with deisel via a funnel directly into on of the input / output lines then refit filter , remove airbox top and spray some easystart (halfords or most carpart / motor factors) directly into the air intake as you crank the engine (small squirts) dont let it crank for more than 5-6 seconds than keep trying again , it will go but will take a while once started you will nee to let it run for a while at tickover to get rid of any trapped air. the correct proceedure is
  13. just to add to the last post , please people dont be conned by the your brake fluid change is due routine, it is simply an optional extra every two years but very rarely needs doing , if your in doubt ask the dealer to check the boiling point of the fluid and only change it if it needs doing 9/10 it will be fine , i have serviced vehicles at 5 years that have not had a change and still pass the boiling point test , ps all ford dealer have the machine to test this
  14. wtf , i would be asking them what on earth there labour rate is , the ford book time for a 25k is 1.4 hours for 55 and older cars and 0.8 for 06 and newer cars , with a further 0.5 if brake fluid is changed. what most people dont realise is that you do not need to take it to a ford dealer to keep up the wty , as long as you use ford parts and it is serviced to ford spec at a vat registered garage , in future simply get hold of a ford service check sheet and get a private garage to service it to that spec
  15. post the part no. of set and the serial number (found on sticker on side or top of unit ) and i will get it for you by end of week :D
