There are obviously many 05 plate mk1's about coz they're so cheap now!

H :mrgreen: ave to disaree strongly!! My mate has a Mk1 focus and prefers mine in every way! They are worth looking at! You have to get with the times. The Mk1 focus was a great looking car... 7 years ago!!! Things change. Granted the Mk1 focus is still a better looking car than many others and still drives superbly, but the new one is superior in every way. Obviously mainly IMO but also in many others....

Button is to de-activate interior sensors on the alarm! ;)

errr ? Every way :P It is a car that nobody notices because it looks so bland. :roll: Well I've been stopped in supermarket car parks and asked what model it is and how much it cost. People notice all the time. Probably because there aren't that many about in 3 door, especially in black like mine. I have to say also apart from mk1 focus owners most people have commented on what a great improvement in looks it is on the old one! :twisted:

Rattles happen at various speeds. They are all being looked at when it goes in for the 1500 mile checkup. Have made them sort the mats out too!

Admitedly I have been quite heavy footed on the motorway, but not too much and I always get into 6th asap.

Have to say that the fuel economy has disapointed me a little. I thought getting a diesel would dramaticaly improve my mpg. Only getting an average of 39mpg at the mo. :(

You really do need to see a decent coloured 3dr one to catch it at its best. I'm not a fan of the 5dr either. Also as standard the ride is too high. Add 17" alloys and eibach suspension (as I did!) and it looks much better imo. (obviously I'm biased but hey! :wink: )

Just finished washing her, she looks SO much better clean! Just a shame it gets dirty so quickly!

The engine is great! Good economy with good perfomance! However, there are some interior ratlle from the doors. When the windows are down there is no rattle! When both are up though there is loadsa noisE! Still no manual for the sony headunit and still crappy mats too! I don't care what ford ay, these ar not the mats promised in the brouchure!

But has any focus REALLY been that exciting? Even the RS whasn't excactly inspiring was it? The original focus was inspiring, what 7-8 years ago? Now has come the time to change, and whilst it's not the greatest of changes, for a car that was great anyway, this one just trounces the market uet again without having to try too hard! ;)

Mk1 better? Just dated! IMO :P I do like the old RS though. But like most cars the focus has to evolve! Love it or hate it, it has happened!

Coming from a pug, good looks are lost, build quality however is great!

Sorry, but the MK1 already is looking dated against the new model. Especialy with plastic trim and door handles. :( Just my opinion of course!
