My dealer has marked the Paint Sealant, Fabric/Carpet Gard, VinylGard, and SupaWheels for £299 inc VAT. Am I right in thinking I could opt for only the first two and pay less? Yes - but it's up front. Means I have to find how ever many hundreds to pay for it. How much of a saving is it really? Granted, that's a good bonus. Can that be done at the end of the 3 years? I have no idea if I'll want to keep the car longer than that yet!

Because I'm old fashioned and want to talk to the dealer face to face? If the online broker finds you a dealer nearby then fantastic!

So my car will be here soon and my dealer is asking about things like Supagard. He said it'll cost about 300 quid. Is it worth getting? Did anyone else get it? http://www.supagard.com/ The other thing is FordProtect. Is that worth getting? From what I can see it could save a few quid by paying for the services up front, but that's about it. So is it just a money saver? Thanks!

I emailed around all the dealers in my area, and visited the nearest. I found a dealer that would match the price I wanted to pay - which was a couple of hundred more than the best price I found online (drivethedeal). At the end of the day I felt safer buying from a dealer, but wasn't going to pay much for doing so. So the moral of the story is shop around all the nearby (within an hours drive?) dealers to see what they can do.

Is this happening to other peopl too? I had hoped that the supply problems with the badges would be sorted by now. And who thought it was a bright idea to put a Ghia badge on the Titanium? I'd say no badge is better than the wrong badge!

I'd like to see what the Interior Pack looks like. There's only smallish pics in the brochure, so it'd be nice to see some bigger shots!

I always look at the conditions of the cars either side of a space, how well they're parked, and so on. This helps me determine if it's a good and competent owner, or not... so I know they won't damage my car. If it's an old wreck I won't park near it! Failing that, find a space at an end with a barrier or suchlike, then park up nice and close to leave plenty of space to the next bay. I've seem some slightly arrogant drivers in their bmws on so on just park in the middle of two bays!

I was going to ask you the same question :) I'm getting the same system (is that the MP3 or the 6CD one) with the climate control stuff, but my car still isn't here :( Does it work well?

... and then you get closer and see the beige inside. That's completely different.

The key is a bit like a knife - the "key" part flicks out when you press a button. Does make the key fit away in your pocket nicely, but one day you know it's not going to pop out ;-)

What spec is it? Get any interesting options? Got any interior pics? It's the infinity trim I'd like to see - although I saw a glimpse through the window :-)

I have the Infinity Blue with Jeans (metallic) looks great. The salesman was right, can rely on his judgement on that one. Had a Red Pepper previous mk1 Focus :P Any chance of some pictures?

I've seen an aquarius titanium with the infinity blue trim. It wasn't that bad, but I'm not sure I want to live with it. It looked kind of like the picture in the brochure for the titanium, but the colours were a lot murkier. The blue was a lot more like grey-blue than the nice blue in the brochure.

When I ordered mine the dealer told me that ESP with any other option is causing a delay. ESP on it's own - fine. Other options - fine. But together they slow it down... :roll:

Got my build date today... Friday April 1st :( So not only will it be a "Friday car", but it'll probably have a rotten fish stuffed in the boot :wink: For once, a delay would be nice :D

My dealer told me none of them had bluetooth phones and looked quite excited when I said mine was bluetooth... but then it turned out the car in the showroom had a flat battery. :roll: So I don't suspect they'll be much help setting it up :wink: It sounds neat though. Can't wait till I get mine... but not even a build date yet :(

Tell us more! What stuff can you voice control? How well does it actually work in practice? Is it easy to setup?
