  1. Hi Dave, Very nice car indeed! Can I ask you something? Could you please check if you have a power plug in the luggage area? I heard something about but don't know if it was for the C-MAX or Focus Wagon. Cheers, Dijkstra.
  2. Hi Jc1978! I have my Focus for a few weeks now and I have absolutely no interior rattles at all. I have no wind noises either (Just checked at about 140 kmh). You should get your unit checked asap by your dealer. Cheers, Dijkstra.
  3. Hi wdb81, It's already posted in the forum, please follow this link: http://www.ffoc.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=65827 Anyway, I will quote tomto70 on this subject: Cheers mate, and enjoy your focus! Dijkstra.
  4. Hi Tomtom, Yes, I though so although the first time it worked and I was able to make a route with it. Anyway, I was worried for the drive unit, as I don't have my original Ford DVD I though it was broken. If they are both from Denso will they be at the same "level"? I mean, will they have the same amount of information, streets, roads, etc? Cheers, Dijkstra.
  5. Hi Tomtom! Any ideas about what's happening with Toyota's map in the Focus Sat-nav? As I stated in the above post, a friend of mine has a Toyota and we tried the DVD on the Focus. The first time worked well but the next day we tried again the Toyota DVD and the sat-nav keeps saying: "Reading DVD... Please wait". Is there some way to reset the sat-nav to factory defaults? I don't think the drive is wrong. The interesting thing is that using the hidden diag screen (pressing "Menu" and "Nav") we could read the DVD map version !! Cheers, Dijkstra.
  6. Hi Tomtom! Thanks for your info. You have been of great help, really! Indeed, my dealer will supply the DVD at no cost, there is no problem with that. The only problem is that I wanted to know if this is a normal situation or someone missed the DVD from the transport truck or something. Given the fact they also didn't have the user manuals for the sat-nav nor the bluetooth system lets me think there is some supply problems from Ford for the first units. I already know DVD maps from Jaguar may work. Indeed they share the same KIWI map format. It's also used by Toyota, Lexus and probably
  7. Hi all !! And specially Tomtom. :-) I have a question, relating or not to the upgrades. I'll go ahead and in case I'm off-topic, let me know. I have the car two weeks now, and surprisingly, the dealer had no map DVD. At least the car came with no DVD in the drive. Is it correct for a new car? Does the map DVD have to be ordered separatelly? I'm very upset because I only have now a very expensive radio. :-) (Hey! At least it can play MP3) My dealer asked Ford to send the DVD and they toll me it comes from Germany... and even more... they say they don't have map DVD's at Ford's Germany!
  8. Thank you VERY much Tomtom! You have been of great help, like always. ;-) Cheers, Dijkstra.
  9. Hi disney! Perhaps, I don't know what means "Ford s/w revision". Does it means the software revision of the central engine software? Or does is means the software revision for the sat-nav user interface? Maybe you can go to your local dealer and see if they can upgrade your unit, given the versions above. I have read something related to software upgrades (mainly bug fixes) for the sat-nav. They may correct some MP3 and TMC related issues. Tell me what they said, talking to my local dealer is like talking to a wall... They don't even know how this sat-nav thing works. Go figure... C
  10. Hi There! I have a problem, my date & time clock settings is wrong. I have the sat-nav, so my dealer is unable to set it (so bad they don't know how this sat-nav works). I have the date set one day ahead, and the clock is ahead 6 minutes. My dealer told me this clock settings would automatically update itself using the GPS signal, however, I have seen the GPS clock settings using a hidden service screen and it is correct!! but they don't update the dashboard clock. How can I manually correct these clock settings since they seems not to update itself neither with GPS nor radio signals
  11. Hi Disney! Here are my versions: 16LX 0.06 6 04/06/08 SH4 2.17 0 04/09/17 Ford s/w revision: 0017/09/2004 I don't have a map version yet, since I have not received my DVD map. :-( Cheers, Dijkstra.
  12. Hi Asher! I vote for the spaniard... Cheers mate, Dijkstra: PS: Doooohhh !! :-)
  13. Hi Red, Yeah, it just sounds funny, as I said I live near the Ford factory. I just waited some couple days for nothing... Haha! Of course, they are the same. :D I do also acknowledge the build quality from german guys, but this is not to say the spanish factory is worse... I have seen and drove both german made and spanish made and they feel exactly the same... My god, they even smell the same! PS: As a side note, one of the cars I saw on my dealer was a german made Titanium 3 doors with blue/beige color. It was ugly because the beige color from the doors was not the same as other
  14. Hi James, Yes, that's right. Sorry if it was a confusion, I was only stating that not all diesels have rear discs. Cheers, Dijkstra.
  15. Hi Tomtom: Do you know if this cradle works with every phone model? I have a Moto RAZR V3, and I was thinking this cradle worked only with Nokia phones. If it works with Motorola phones, do you know if I could install this cradle now? Cheers, Dijkstra.
