  6. My focus 1.6TDCI (54 reg) has developed a creeking noise from the front when going over bumps. sounds like a low pitched creeking door. doesnt do it at when steering side to side at a standstill. wondered if bushes somewhere or old springs (doesnt sound like a knackered mattress though) your thoughts on what to check and how to appreciated. Stevo
  7. Hi I had the same problem on my Focus Mk2 (54 reg) as salt water was getting into the micro switch for the rear hatch. The switch was removed and found out the rubber seal that covers the switch was letting in salt water and found its way into the switch. Either clean all the corrosion up with water and a toothbrush (alloy plate) and then squirt ACF50 into the switch area and alloy plate. reassemble and seal with ACF grease. you may be lucky in getting more life out of the old one. Ford has a modified part where now the rubber is sealed (glued) to the micro switch housing. Part number F 1

  9. Hi There is a small dribble of water (milky coloured) near the rear micro switch rubber. Sometimes the rear hatch releases and i havent touched the key etc. Is this linked to rear wiper recall, if so what is the new part number etc to fix this water leak/ingress. New design of seal? New micro switch needed? Your comments appreciated. Merry christmas to all and im still wrapping presents ready for later and in between a pint. Cheers Stevo

  14. Still looking for the power outlet fuse. Dived under the glovebox area and had the panel down. handbook illustration differs from panel! Panel has 2 rows of fuses on lower edge of panel. illustration in handbook shows 2 or 3 clusters of fuses dotted across. Seems Ford changed panels at some point. any ideas?
  15. Thank you revoltos will sort out the rear when time allows but just gotta find the fuse for the front, sounds like a pain if ford keep changing fuse panel designs?
