  1. yea lol, your lucky you had it fitted! ive gotta change my whole engine bay loom to get it to workl.
  2. Hi, does anybody know what to do when the service is overdue? to avoid having the warranty voided? Im really overdue now:S and just havent had a chance to take it into the dealer.. my local 1 doesnt suppy a courtesy car and I need it for work so taking time off isnt easy sometimes. are they likely to void my warranty? annoying thing about it is, ive actually changed the oil, oil filter and air filter with genuine parts from that dealer at 18k miles, so the oil wont be in such a state its completely degraded and likely to do damage to the engine. Asif I had completely missed a service and
  3. oh right lol, was going to say, thats a bit drastic just to have an ST exhuast lol
  4. you had your spare wheel well cut out and a plate welded in? lol just so you could fit the ST exhuast:S
  5. agreed, I think they only fit it now if you have headlamp washers. because i checked my wiring and I dont even have the wiring for it. but the looms for xenon/adaptive front lighting to have the wiring in place.. so it seems to be fords way of saying well we say you only need it if you have headlamp washers.
  6. yep, lol.. so if it has a level 1 cluster.. that means it is compatible. only reason why dealers cant do that, is because they tend to copy the current configuration off 1 cluster, and upload it onto a new 1... rather than doing it from scratch, because the configuration would of been initially done in the factory. I havent seen him online eigther lol, I want him to enable the washer fluid thing and stuff on mine soon, changing my engine bay loom first though lol, because I dont have the wiring for the sensor. does it actualy tell you the level then? never seen it? thought it just told y
  7. im overdue with mine.. will they void the remaining 18 months warranty left on my car? I have actually changed the air, oil, and oil filter on the car a few thousand miles ago... brought the genuine stuff from the dealer.. but im guessing that dont count lol... even though the dealer doesnt do alot more themselves.
  8. ST exhuast wont fit, because the huge silencer/backbox sits underneath the spare wheel well, and on the ST they dont have a spare wheel well for that reason. But.. you can fit a piper replica ST exhuast, which will fit. see here, http://www.piperexhausts.co.uk/exhausts ... 2b7rbdjr17
  9. If pichacker has done it.. also bearing in mind.. he works at fords Dunton technical research facility down the road from me. and the impression i get is he actually works on something to do with the dealer diagnostic equipment IDS .. from his comment previously about thanking him for adding in the option to enable cruise control.. and him testing it thoughly before releasing it to dealers. Id imagine he would have more knowlegde on fords systems than most people.. or indeed dealers. If he did it.. and it worked, then it must work lol.. otherwise he would of reported back saying he faile
  10. I will try to find out for you :D and update this post. could you possibly PM me your registration number? because it will make it easier to find out what parts are required.. failing that, variant and year should be fine.
  11. yep. just need, new dashboard wiring loom which supports climate control / high level headunit. (depending on wheather your going for basic climate control / dvd sat nav climate control) climate control panel climate control heaterbox climate control module... normally bolted to the bottom of the dvd sat nav on dvd satnav variants.. not sure on ordinary climate control. sun sensor for the top of the dash at the base of the windscreen another sensor that goes in the middle of the 4 buttons/blanking plates below the headunit.
  12. might be the original pads then. i drive like that, brakes as little as possible, planning ahead and using the engine. and im on 26k now with original pads the car was built with.. and they have plenty on them still... so they may even be the originals on yours.
  13. if its on its 2nd set of pads, disks should be fine for another set.. going by the rule of thumb of disks for every 3rd set of pads roughly. if its got plenty of wear on, and hitting 31k then its probably 2nd set as you said. although on saying that, im still on the original factory 1s and just hitting 26k... and they still have a reasonable amount left on them. so they could be original pads in there.. all depends on how much you use your brakes, and whether you primarily slow down using your gears etc, and driving style.
  14. if you have a mk2.5 and want to do an LED conversion on the back.. id just like to add no rewiring is required. ford do a jumper loom that plugs in behind the plastic panel eigther side of the parcel shelf FINIS Code 1520746 2x required 1 for each side.
  15. as long as they arent worn more than 1mm eigther side according to fords tolerances that should be fine. Reason why they take disk thickness into consideration is because if the disk gets too thin it can warp under, heat and heavy braking... which will in turn cause viabration while braking, slight binding/uneven brakepad wear. only accurate way of measuring it would be with a micrometer. Technically your supposed to measure the runout of the disk as well with a dial gauge lol but thats a bit excessive for most situations. but normally you should be able to visually identify if they are ex
  16. there isnt a minimum thickness as such... more an acceptable tolerance for wear. Ford Specify that any disks with more than 1 mm wear on eigther side, or 2mm accross the overall thickness should be replaced. only exception to that would be if the disk was badly scored up.. in which case it should be changed anyway because they will at the very least put it down as an advisory.
  17. ive had a bit of flaking on my dvd satnav not major, but things like the word Radio the - bit in the R has gone awall. DVD Sat nav, ford sell replacement buttons lol.. probably for that reason. but i couldnt see them as being available on the Sony Headunits. not cheap though:S £80 excluding VAT... for a couple of lumps of plastic. Doesnt just apply to the facelift, late 57 plate MK2 pre facelifts had the red buttons and stuff like the facelift.. same prefacelift cluster just in red instead of green..but the headunits were rounded silver, and gen2 sonys, or sony 6000s like yours.
  18. is this the retrofit if you dont have the BVC module wiring at all? because if you have the BVC module wiring you shouldnt have to alter any wiring.
  19. just checked.. same part no for mk2 and 2.5.. shouldnt be different. only reason they dont list the springs any more for the mk2.5 is they make no real difference to the sport pack suspension springs in terms of ride height.
  20. not dampers.. springs. Im going to fit the dampers anyway.. dont know the price yet. but I was just saying there probably isnt much point fitting the eibachs when it wont change the ride height on a facelift with sport pack... which was probably why ford dont list it under facelift focus. but because its not too expensive.. I might order them and replace them anyway when i do the dampers.. then its all done then... gotta pull the shocks apart anyway to do the dampers.
  21. Sounds good:).. could you let me know if the code:red intercooler makes much difference? also, with the xenons, I found out, from my own investigation lol. even if you have the wiring in the engine bay.. you wont have the wiring behind the dash. because when I looked through the wiring looms.. i found out that theres 1 loom for xenon/adaptive headlights and another loom for halogens... but not 1 which covers all 3 So I dug a bit deaper and found theres a module behind the drivers kick panel on the door pillar side, if you have xenon/adaptive lighting which isnt requried for halogen,
  22. lol yea, in your case the Eibach Pro kit would be worthwhile because it will lower your car. in mine though.. doesnt seem worthwhile if theres no change in rideheight lol.. so i have now figured it would be better to just upgrade the dampers.. although they are only £150 or so, so I may shove them on for the sake of it anyway lol. then get my geometry changed to ST. what other mods are you doing to your car? Ive got tonnes planned for mine.. just saving up at the moment lol.. ive got an engine bay loom on order at the moment.. all because I wanted headlamp washers, and low washer fl
  23. might have sports suspension, but ford probably revised it again on the facelift to account for the addition of the 18" alloys, so they could sell it as a sport pack. Because previously like with yours the sports suspension would of only had the 16" alloys.. but when they added 18" ones I imagine they had to tweak the setup again.
  24. if they do though, it may not be any lower than the facelift sport pack ones. which come to think of it might be why they arent listed for the facelift focus, but they are for the pre-facelift.. just thought about that lol. could never think why they listed them on the pre-facelift, but not post facelift.. but I reckon thats why now. Because if ford lowered the suspension anyway for the addition of the 18" alloys in the sport pack.. it wouldnt of made any sense to sell an accessory that wouldnt change the ride height at all.. so they just listed the upgrade dampers.
  25. comparison, If you compare the Titanium Sport pack 1 above, to Jamz, theres a noticeable difference in height. so sport pack is definitely lower.
