  1. Good choice..the 1.6Ti-VCT seems to be a popular engine option. It may not be 8) to fit mudflaps but they do help to keep the car clean and will blend-in with black paintwork
  2. Hi Tarabrine Is there a reason for such a long waiting time :?: In our cases it is usually caused by a long list of factory options being added :( My father used to say "look around there is always someone worse-off than you"
  3. Why can't we have a chrome grill on the Ghia... looks 8)
  4. Perhaps its going to be renamed the SONY 5CD PLAYER :!:
  5. LATEST UPDATE...Gate released 18th April (Valencia) ETA Dealership 14th May. So that will be 17 Weeks+ before I get delivery. I'm not at all impressed on a car which was promised for the end of March
  6. No problem there as it was delivered before 31st March. When I rang Ford Customer Services she said NO it not an extension of the original offer BUT a new offer running from 1st March to 30th June. Mine was ordered 17 January and still not delivered yet  so it is too late delivery for the first offer and ordered too soon for second offer :( :( My dealer seems confident I should get the points but I will have to wait and see.
  7. Would also require skill not to KERB them :!:
  8. Order NOW for 55 reg delivery on 2.0TDCI :?:
  9. When did you order and receive your car :?:
  10. Hi Bill I got this pic from Revo http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y148/f ... nsions.jpg I'm still waiting for my car hence my posts. First thought stowage compartment but I don't think its deep enough, second compartment on right lower dash, too narrow. Third glovebox no prob fitting there and lastly under heating controls in centre console. My priority was security (out of sight) if possible didn't want to have to carry unit about when car was left unattended.
  11. I have TC on my Mk1 and agree it's useless...it even requires turning off to get a start on snowy/slushy stuff. BUT if you saw Tiff Needell (5th Gear) in the sideways Jag demonstrating the difference in controllabity with and without I'm glad I'm getting it 8) Plus Emergency Brake Assist will stop you in the shortest distance possible. It's like extra insurance you hope you don't need it but it's nice if you have it.
  12. Hi James Agree ESP is a must. What about a Sunroof :?: Perimeter Alarm + Quickclear Windscreen are standard items. Self levelling suspension is for estates only. Wish I'd got Birthday presents like yours  :)
  13. Hi James May I suggest you get a Ford Focus catalogue and or go to the Ford website and see just what is and is not available on the options list 8)
  14. To use Trade Plates on a brand new unregistered car... for demonstration purposes :?:
  15. You could have more fun by saying Look this is a Ghia ...says so on the back and they are £500 cheaper than a Titanium. How about a discount LOL
  16. Here's an other idea for about fitting extra speakers - try putting them under the front seats...used to be popular in the 70s I'm not familar with the 5000c, does it have a fade control ie front to rear balance. If not you will have problems with speaker impedence by fitting extra speakers :(
  17. Yeh I'm a bit "P....d" off that I was told yes to points when I ordered it in January. The car was delayed (not my fault) and now it's past 31st March I'm too late
  18. Hi Tim So the moral of the story is shop around all the nearby (within an hours drive?) dealers to see what they can do. WHY waste time and effort trying locally plus waste a couple of hundred pounds when the online broker finds you the cheapest car :!: I'm not buying the car from the broker but a UK main dealer and getting it delivered to my house :) .
  19. When the first details of the new model appeared, another option was "approach lights" as per the Ghia C-Max this also would have been useful but dropped for some reason :?
  20. I read somewhere that a Scandinavian guy found it useful for his fold-up road maps. I you're not old enough to remember them, ask you Dad about Esso road maps
  21. The difference for my "new" car between our local main dealer and an internet broker sourced UK main dealer was £500...no prizes for guessing who got the business. Added bonus I don't even have to go and collect it - it will be delivered to my house :D
  22. All drivethedeals cars are UK sourced :D
