TBH I had more confidence in my old car when it came to stopping than this one. Don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with the brakes and I love the car it's just when I touch the brakes I like the front end to dip.
  2. Thanks... but it's not the buckle. It only occurs when someone is sitting on it - seems to come from underneath on lefthand side.
  3. I seem to have a creaking/noisey front passenger seat, driver's seat is OK. Has anyone had/have a similar problem :( My previous Focus also had leather and the seats were perfect :)
  4. I agree with Johnc01932... perhaps top half only colour coded would look better :)
  5. I agree with ordinary wipers...but autowipers set the speed according to how wet the windscreen is ie the size of the raindrop/volume of water :?
  6. Welcome anthony1979 I'd be rather annoyed if that happened to me and would certainly be writing to Ford  I know the wait seems eternal but it's soon forgotten once you start enjoying your new motor. Mine's running well (touch wood) and I hope the windscreen is a one-off incident with yours :)
  7. Which is the most sensitive setting... the shortest or the longest icon :?:
  8. Could someone be so kind and do "before" and a "after" pics...thanks
  9. My overall average is 38.53MPG so by getting 39MPG from a 1.6 (Auto) is very good indeed. My next door neighbour has an auto 1.6 diesel automatic CMAX and he only gets 38MPG
  10. How about trying to sell it privately :?: Drivethedeal for example are discounting a 1.6Ti-VCT (5 door) Titanium to £13,172.01  I'm sure other brokers will do similar prices or better.
  11. Mine (1.6Ti-VCT) takes about 10 minutes to settle down during that time it registers MPG according to throttle usage :?
  12. I know this engine has had a lot of critism about poor economy but it can also be very frugal. I appreciate many drivers do not have the time to do this but I set about proving the addage "Fifty is Thrifty". Over the past few days on long runs using main roads, no aircon and a strick 50MPH maximum speed limit the car has returned over 50 miles to the gallon. :D
  13. Doing an MPG reset whilst driving gives a pseudo instantaneous effect which lasts awhile until an average is calculated.
  14. Wish I knew the answer also...it's a real PIA :(
  15. Page 50 of Owners Guide Note: When the ignition is switched off, the headlights can be switched on (dipped beam) by pulling the lever towards the steering wheel. The headlights will switch off automatically 30 seconds after the last door is closed
  16. Speedos are always slightly fast - dates back to the mechanical devices which allowed for inaccuracy, needle flicker and wear.
  17. If it causes you so much concern how about covering it over with a duster or something when you park the car. This is not a criticism only trying to be helpful.
  18. Does it really matter how long it take as long as it goes out :!:
