  1. The wife swears it drives smoother using Shell Diesel Extra (2.0 Tdci) but to be honest I can't tell any difference. The only reason I'm still puting it in is it's meant to treat the engine better and we are planning on keeping the car for a good few years yet.
  2. Hi Fordrykker, Here is a link that has the ms-design kit but also a Stoffler one too... http://shop.liquidautomotive.com/index. ... h=937_1472 I noticed on the link to your car page that you have a Fartpilot fitted, I don't recall seeing that on the UK options list... I must try to track one down. All the best.
  3. Hi all, Have just fitted leather seats to the c-max and noticed that they have the heating elements fitted, also the loom connected to the seats seems to have the corresponding wires present. The question is, how big a job is it to wire them up completely? I realise I would need the dash switches but is there anything else required? Any info would be appreciated. Cheers, Sean.
  4. Hi Rob, They're so you don't get the fried egg look from orange coloured bulbs on side repeaters without the silver shroud to cover the bulb. Here they are: Amber leds at ultraleds. Apparently the housing is clear not yellow like the ones in the photo on the website.
  5. Looks like I know what my next mod's going to be! Just ordered amber leds from ultraleds and clear side repeaters so it looks like I'll have to wait until next month! :(
  6. I have on my 04 2.0 TDCi Zetec. I haven't noticed it recently but it happened about 3 times in the space of 2 days about a month ago but hasn't reoccured since. When it happened first I thought I must have pressed the boot lock button on the key when I was turning the ignition on but then it happened twice more. I'll probably mention it when the car goes in for the armrest to be sorted.... Sean.
  7. 2.0 TDCi also has excellent 6 speed box.
  8. Here here... I'd be interested in knowing how to add the footwell lights, I have the zetec but it doesn't have the bulb holders / loom as standard.
  9. I had exactly the same problem, creaking door seals on anything but smooth roads. I mentioned it to the dealer when I took it in to have some other problems sorted (bust Sony 6 cd unit/cracked engine cover/b-pillar rattle) and they oiled the door seals but this made absolutely no difference whatsoever. After reading this thread I decided to try vaseline on the inside of the door aperture where the felt comes into contact with the metalwork and this has completely cured any creaking! :D
  10. In most EU countries the only compulsory items are headlamp converters, GB stickers and warning triangles . First aid kits, fire extinguishers and spare bulb kits are only recommended. In some countries a reflective jacket is also compulsory.
  11. Hi all, I recently noticed in the C-Max brochure it states that the headlamps (on zetec and ghia) have a delay to see you to your door. I have an 04 (July) 2.0 TDCi Zetec and I am sure that mine don't do this, do you have to turn it on or is it just fitted to later models? Any clues would be appreciated...
  12. What size wheels do you fellas have? Do you think the springs with 17" alloys would make the ride excessively hard? Also I regularly carry quite a lot of gear about, would this damage the springs if I had them fitted do you think? Thanks
  13. I've got the same model Ben, also bought from Ford Direct, with 16,000 miles on the clock. Around the town I'm getting 45mpg and more like 50mpg on longer journeys (slightly less I've noticed more recently as I'm using the air-con a lot). Perhaps the mpg figure gets better the more miles you put on the clock, although I'm more inclined to think you maybe don't have the most recent software revision (or whatever it's called!) P.S I've never had the white smoke...yet :-)
