We went for Panther black :).. the wind noise sounds about the same on the driver and passenger doors tbh.. did your fix completely silence it ? So far around townish driving (a - roads to the station and back) is giving 40mpg with only 300 miles on the clock.. really really impressed, I'm enjoying it more to drive than the focus at the moment. Looking forward to nearer 50 mpg once its broken in.... Off to valet the Focus tomorrow to get it ready for sale :( Cheers Matt

I'll post some piccies at some point :) Saturday saw the delivery of my 1.6 tdci Zetec Cmax. Its been a while coming (ordered in June - though my own fault for adding loads of toys :) ) but it was worth the wait. I went for amongst other things the 17" alloys, leather, BT kit and the sony stereo. Highlights for me so far have been the xenons (wow they are bright!) and the refined drive it has given me so far (also very happy in the amount of grunt the 1.6 can put out) I seem to be getting about 40mpg at the moment.. only done about 300miles, no idea what software version I have.. if any

How to do you get the back of the light off ? On my 06 there does not seem to be much room to remove it... Ta Matt

Does anyone have the focus instructions to turn this feature on/off I think I'll disable it for when I sell the car in a couple of weeks (My Cmax is on the boat from Germany as I speak :) )

Wonder why though.. I was really pleased when I discovered that on the focus :(

Buy through a broker.. get loads more for the money :)

And I thought the Ford Sat Nav was rubbish ?

The only thing which put me off the Ghia a bit was the electric handbrake and the wood bits... hence I went for the Zetec.. but other than that its a nicely loaded car. Just wish mine would hurry up and arrive :) Matt

Have you tried getting prices through a broker.. I saved 7k off list for my cmax I orderd in June (1.6 tdci with all the toys).... I think the discounts are still pretty big for them at the moment. Might be worth getting some quotes. Matt

My new Cmax will be black as well.... just as the current focus is.. must be a sucker for punishment :)

Real shame I have it on the focus at the mo.. all the cars in the US have it.. seems like a backwards move..

One of the reasons I made sure my build cmax had the xenons specified. I used one of the stick on patches on my focus for a trip to france they were rubbish.. next time I would use the shaped ones you can get from haldfords which cover the whole light (for specific car models) so no lining up I believe. Sorry for the slightly OT question.. having just ordered my cmax with 17" alloys.. hows the ride, handling etc with the wheels ? Would any of the other style alloys be better in terms of life span.. :roll: Cheers Matt

Hello.. Yes it was ordered a couple of weeks back.. 1.6 zetec (90ps) with £4k of extras for about £14k. Just waiting for a build date.. though it probably will not arrive til Sept (and therefore a new plate) due to the holiday at the factory and the fact I wanted so many extras put on :) I would expect it to have the EGR as they have been in new builds since march..
