  1. Should do try gently attempting to open the flap with the car locked, also if you open the flap with the car unlocked and then lock it with the flap you should see a small stainless post in the corner
  2. Wonder if Ford would fit this as an aftermarket option, I remember my dad getting one fitted to an old escort many moons ago. It would probably bigger up your warranty if you got someone else to do it, I quite fancy one as well!!
  3. Just used my fingers to prise the cover back on my boot in the area you're on about and it moves quite freely, from what I can feel there are no rubber strips or any fixings in that area. The plastic trim seems to sit slightly away from the metal, the only thing I can think is a spacer deeper in the panel has become dislodged allowing a bit more freeplay on the plastic. Hope this helps :?
  4. I think that's the standard place, it's the same on my Zetec anyway
  5. Aye it's a pain in the * * * * 12 months or mileage, scamming sods!!!
  6. Nice car would love to get a new RS myself but would have to flog a kidney to be able to afford it!!!
  7. That's it, there no point paying for extras you're gonna rip out, with a 2.0 zetec you've got the same performance without all the toys the titanium has, I was told by the dealer 2.0 zetecs are a bit harder to come by!
  8. I take it you're on about the LED type, a dare say somebody somewhere will be churning these out, I've found the clear type on ebay
  9. Bigger me that's an ugly looking car, how can the guys who bring us classics like Mustangs bring that piece of crap out!!!
  10. Ok went hunting on the net with no luck, I only found them on an American forum but the guy only made a one off batch and there's none left. Looks as though I'm going to have to go down the LED route so was wondering if anybody has fitted one, just looking for a plain unit, I.e no chrome surround just a clear lens. I was wondering if this causes any grief, I remember one of my old cars would flash up an alarm as it thought a light was out. Any help much appreciated :P :P
  11. Look the mutts mate, hope they hold for you :P
  12. There are definitely better ones out there but I know what you mean, I've used one in the past which allows you to lock it on so the tip stays hot. A mains one is always better but a nightmare wi fiddly jobs!!
  13. Just for future reference you can pick up battery operated soldering irons, a bit easier with no cables dangling about!! Gonnae have to pick one up myself
  14. cheers guys just have the standard spoiler so will need to keep looking around
  15. Hi peeps I've just changed my rear light clusters on my 07 to the newer style courtesy of Tezza. Now I'm looking for a clear lens for the third brake light to finish the look, does anyone know where I can get them, I can't be bothered fitting an LED cluster and just want to replace the lens and lamps. Any info much appreciated :P
  16. You never know I need to try and get a TIS or even a Haynes manual, I like to have wiring diagrams handy so I can chase faults, good luck
  17. No sign of it on mine 07 zetec, bucket seats tho! :?
  18. Not too sure about this one, when you took the old dials out did you disconnect a plug if so get a multimeter and look for 12 volts on one of the pins when you turn the lights on and off. The negative should also be on this plug somewhere so stick the other multimeter tail onto this either that or any clean unpainted bodywork. I've been hunting for a TIS disk for this car but have had no luck so far!!
  19. Glad to hear you like it they go like * * * * off a stick don't they, I love mine looking into colour coding it at some point soon, need to see if my mate has got his new spray shop up and running!!!
  20. Cheers bud what kits that you've got on your car, you've got the same front end as mine except it looks as though you've changed the diffuser at the bottom??
  21. I've been told Toyos are good tyres and that was from a guy using them on a Skyline capable of 700 bhp+ when it was full of nitrous and race fuel!!! I've just fitted Conti Sport 3's all round on mine and will agree with Ben they're damn grippy, not sure what the difference with the 2's and 3's are though although with mine being 205/50/r17 they costme £420 for the set!!!!
  22. Ahaa!! I see, you learn something new everyday. Cheers for your help bud
  23. What's OBD when it's at home?? Take it it's diagnostics?
  24. Hi just noticed a plug just under the steering column on the RHS. Is it just a diagostics plug or is there a fancy toy to be connected into it!!!
