  1. I used to be a member until I discovered the same as you. They do American products which you can't get elsewhere, their Peanut butter is supreme. Their meat is fantastic but my village butcher sells local produce which is even better and the same price. They have special offers which are hard to beat from time to time. Costco are a big target for Americans over here as they are HUGE in the USA and its a little home from home. I haven't renewed for a while now
  2. Need the carrying space I presume. "The Hearse" will certainly give you that but at a hell of a cost in fuel...as you've worked out. Lovely car For price I would suggest what I did for my Zetec.Ignore any What cAR /Parkers price guide. Look in Autotrader and select the same model and roughly, the same extras and pitch your price to either sell quickly or to match others. Dealers charge a bit more because of warranty but on my Passat I actually included the last 9 months of my Warranty Direct insurance, cost me £180 but made more than that on the car. Yours is under warranty anyway I note
  3. They can be good but you have to add the cost of membership, £23, onto that. Bracknell Tyres quoted me £68 fitted for those tyres. You just need to shops around. Micheldever Tyres are also cheap although both are down south. The online ones are still the best bet and get them fitted locally
  4. Oh, I've got lots of pictures of you Dennis. Nick sent them to me
  5. Thats true. My mate at Bracknell Tyres says that if a cust wants to keep his old valves then no problem. Especially if they are only a year old or so. Point of order on budget tyres Gav. A lot of the budget tyres are made by the main tyres guys. There is no scrimping on quality or safety....none. They just recognise that the market demands a cheaper alternative. It could be argued that mainstream tyres have diff characteristics for faster or very wet conditions but if you pick the correctly rated budget tyre the diff is usually very small. I fitted Primacys on my old Passat because they were
  6. The aim of this thread is to collect enough poor opinions to forward them onto Ford rather than individuals wasting their time. So this is all good stuff Spoke to my companies car fleet lease company and as a piece of unofficial advice they suggested rolling road testing as an individual at an official testing road, similar to what the manufacturers us, and submitting the results to Ford and demand they adjust the car to their declared MPG which uses the same process. Cost? Well it would of course but I have no idea how much. Off the wall suggestion of course. This thread is another way o
  7. Oh, right like bankrupting me once wasn't good enough for ya :blow
  8. I gree. This is the rear view I get in mine
  9. Sure have. email your address and I'll send em off to you. I'll give you my address and you can send me a cheque if thats OK? top.gazza@virgin.net
  10. I would agree. If they found a specific fault then thats always good. Its the battle to get them to go further that the laptop keyboard thats the hard part.
  11. What really, really concerns me here is the growing trend for garages to do the old "computer says no" routine. Its shoody and unprofessional and at £60 plus per hour an insult when they could get any spotty hooligan with an ASBO to do the same job. No disrespect Matertech, as I know not all are the same. You did the right thing in not taking the car back.
  12. Just found 'em in the envelope still. Paid £12 and never used the blighters. Anyone want them for £6?
  13. What can I say? I'm sure one of my servants can advise you. 8)
  14. No its the single CD unit. Perhaps it was a design thing only
  15. I think he moisturised :| Gonna miss my Zetec......
  16. You would void the warranty if you serviced it yourself. However service can be carried out by any VAT registered garage provided they use Ford parts (not oil but as long as its the right type) and carry out servicing as per scehedule.... Nothing to stop you carrying in between oil changes, just use a Ford filter so no one knows...
  17. What do you think I should reasonably expect for my 6000CD which came out of my C-Max?
  18. My wifes Yaris (new) and the Passat I am driving as a temp car (new) both have adjustable headlights from the dashboard. Headlights obviously must be within "MOT" standards of elevation etc to stay legal and I presume thats what Mastertech is talking about. Xenon are a lot brighter so maybe there are more stringent rules for them.
  19. Says who? I NEVER watch any of that trash on television but its shows how effective the rubbish is that failed D list celebs get publicity. I like the furry beaver finish effect
  20. ......might be.........what do YOU think I was talking about?
  21. You two sound like Kate Moss and Pete Burns comparing outfits...now theres an image ....
  22. I think you'll find the cruise needs to be reset everytime it kicks off
  23. Wouldn't like to "rear end" it though. ....
