  1. Nice one.....glad you are enjoying your new car.
  2. Hopefully won't be a Friday afternoon job..........doh ;)
  3. It is an option. You need to order the Recaro pack 1 and there are production line delays on this. By ordering this pack you also revert the car to a 4 searter as you also get the sculpted rear seat.
  4. No Mike, there is no trim to remove. Just buy yourself a couple of wedge type 501 bulbs from halfords and stick your head on the footwell floor and look up. You will see a hole for both of these (one on each side).
  5. Updated main post as it seems that the new ST's do come with the working footwell light bulb holders...just not the bulbs. Fitting a couple 501 type bulbs seems do the trick.
  6. Aye you are right about the airduct. I guess it must be ok though as the ford unit sits under the passenger seat on the ghia and titanium....although both have unique seats. Would be nice to get someone with one of these cars and the satnav to check how their cd autochanger is fitted. Also how there seat adjusts. Re the Mondeo Sony stereo....this will be identical in size to the Focus units so don't worry about that.
  7. Aye and if you have a digital camera can you take some shots?? I assume you had this professionally fitted so this is a fairly easy job for them? Were you there when it was fitted? The only problem I can think of (especially with the ST) apart from space is the position of the seat adjustment lever. On the old zetec seats the lever was a simple handle to one side of the seat leaving room for the 6 disk cassette to be removed from the front. The mk2 seats (ST ones atleast) use a bar that stretches from one side to the other. I still think there is room but not sure if the seat would need to b
  8. I think the glove box is a bit on the narrow side for most CD Autochangers....although I have not seen the Sony in the flesh. I am very interested in an under seat fitting so if Silver Beast knows something about fitting aftermarket autochangers under the passenger seat, please tell. When my ST arrives I am gonna need an autochanger and as I only have the standard passenger seat I am hoping it will fit. I guess it will not be that different to the Zetec seat. I have asked for info elsewhere about how the autochanger fits under the ghia/titanium passenger seats but no one has been able to
  9. Not been demo'd that much then if it has only done 74 miles ;)
  10. The above pack comes with a connects2 interface/leads and some people may quote problems with this. I spoke to Connects2 a month or so ago and they confirmed that the issues have now been resolved although they are still testing. When you buy this kit, make sure you get the latest Connects2 interface to be sure it will work. Their website is http://www.connects2.com
  11. Aye there is a control box which needs to be hidden behind the stereo and this converts Ford Stereo controls to Sony controls (or is that Sony to Sony ;) ). This control box has a male and female quadlock connector one for the loom connector and the other for the back of the stereo. This is the connector and wiring diag:
  12. /me has fingers crossed tightly that this means the BT probs are now resolved.
  13. Aye only the Ghia/Titanium seats have the space for the changer under the seat, although if anyone has access to a Ford Parts PC, it would be really useful if someone could post up a screen grab of the exploded view of the ford standard fitted CD Changed. If we could see the parts list and how it is fitted this may enable us to check the bottom of the seats for similar anchor points. Without this then I guess a boot mount is the only other possibility. I think the glove box on the new Focus is a little on the narrow side for most changers.
  14. Ford confirmed to me on the phone a couple of weeks back that they were only just made available. Phone their helpline 08457 111 888 and ask for the Focus ST expert. Please not that this adjustable pedal box only offers 55mm of additional adjustment so unless you are really short/tall, it may not be worth while paying the £100 for them. If you contact Ford and they say definitely no, please let me know so I can update another post regarding spec inconsistencies. Cheers
  15. Is this on the mk2 focus? How much did all this cost?
  16. Apparently from March06 any standard focus can be ordered with a full colour coded factory fit body kit that is pretty much as per the ST. If you pick up the latest brochure pictures of this are available. Apparently this kit is available as a dealer option at the mo and I assume it just comes primed and you colour it yourself.
  17. One thing I am not so keen on with the new Focus is the tiny rear window wiper. Has anyone tried replacing this with a different manufacturer arm/blade? I know it has been done on the Mk1 although I think that was purely for look rather than function. http://www.ffoc.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=104813
  18. .....can we burn him now....can we, can we?
  19. Don't listen to the Ken....as long as you are happy thats the only thing that matters.........besides the more people that cancel their ST orders, the faster I am likely to get mine and the more exclusive it will be on the road ;)
  20. Lol not sure but I guess Ford would have thought about it before selling the car....and guess it just does ;)
  21. Aye, I remember that being posted. At least people know what to look out for...and maybe Ford may get all generous with us again in the furture....
  22. If you have the bulb holders and wires going into the back of them then try fitting a 501 bulb. They may work !!
  23. Thanks for that. Having read the thread it looks like ST owners may well have the bracket but not the bulb holder/wiring as the ST starts life as a Sport and a few people with these have reported that. I wonder if the better spec'd ST's with SatNav, Visibility Pack and global closing windows will have these as they are closer to the ghia/titanium trim.
  24. If so can you take some photos of the footwell lights or just post up exactly where/how they are fitted. This info should help ST owners find out if they have the wiring/holes for em and just need a bulb/holder.
