My ST 2 had a build date of 17th March. Arrive at docks in Holland on 21st. Arrive at docks in UK on 24th. Pick it up on Saturday. Two weeks... How long does it take to ship a car from Europe. I would say two weeks is ample time.... 3 at a push. Ring the dealer and ask where it is as my dealer had rang me every other say with it's progress across Europe.

I got a black one coming real soon. Build date last Friday and dealer says it is on the line. Should have within 3 weeks. Have got the red interior so things the red lights will add a nice touch, for very little costs. Red lights will be in stock on Wednesday I hear.

Anyone noticed that the pictures above are from two different cars... Great thread though as I am going for red lights..... match my interia

Unless you have a performance car go for normal 95. Any ST model you will already know Optimax is the only way to go.

Just so everyone has a clear indication on what to expect when ordering an ST with options. I ordered mine in October and it looks like I am close now. I went back to my dealer today and he has confirmed that my build date of the 17th March is now on for sure. I have a chasis number and the car is now in, if I remember right "Segmentation" or something along those lines. Dealer was well happy with this as he said it is all systems go now. built on 17th and TDD (Target Delivery Date) weekend ending 1st April. So only 3 weeks Yipeee. Oh dear. You should read the other posts on the site as the minimum time is 16 weeks. I ordered in October and have a confirmed build date of 17 March. Will have the beast in first week of April. Stick with it as most build dates are estimates. Give it 4 months ..... MINIMUM....

Thanks for all this. Fair play to my delaer as I went in today to moan about free visibility packs and the little git saw it. He pulled me to one side, give me a card and said call this geezer and he will come round and sort that out for less than a ton. I never saw it he said and it will save you 3 times the amount in the part ex. SO the chap is coming round to my place on Saturday morning to push it out and pencil in the scratch. Fair play to my dealer. BUT, I still aint got a free visibility pack as he says I am priviledge so it dont apply. Anyone got the Ford customer number

THis is great advise. The majority is to leave it which is what I thought. It has got to cost them less to fix it than myself. I will get the morror done as that is a piece of cake, but the dent repair is bound to cost a few hundred. Surely it is cheaper for them to reapair. My dealer is a good chap as well as I have bought about 15 motors from him. Looks like fix the mirror and take the hit on the part X.

All, need some serious help here on where to go. Have an ST on order with build date 17th March. Currently have Titanium 1.6 (115ps) in red. Wife goes out this weekend in it as her motor is being mot'd. Smash she scrapes the back so I have a small 6 inch or so scratch and small dent in rear door and slight knock on the rear pillar. Smash, Sunday she goes out and takes off the nearside mirror. Put you self in my shoes and she is one lucky lady to have a roof over her head. Does anyonoe have any info on these. Is it a viable option to have on a car. I have an ST2 on order which has a heated screen, is there any point in going for a Solar Reflective and if so can you have heated and Solar combined ? I have checked the FORD site and it states that it keeps things coller or warmer depending on time of year but I would prefer to get a recommendation from someone who actually has one and if it is a good option?

Hmmm 18th March.... SO IS MINE!!!???? First build date was 8th Feb Seconds build date was 22nd Feb Now got 17th March... Something smells.... October order date.

My Titanium has always rattled in the passenger area. Do up the passenger seat belt and it gets rid of it.

I think I have sussed this but blow me down in flames if you disagree. When the car was released all of the dealerships put in their early orders. Hundred of them. They are still building these initial orders and you can change any order right up to the build date (I know this as a fact as I have changed mine). All of the cars being delivered now are all the early dealer builds which have been altered to the first orderd that the dealers have. (I also know this for a fact as my dealer has told me that my order was already in before I came in to order and he has changed his pre order to my sp

I have a 1.6 too but the titanium (it's for sale if anyone interested). I have now just turned 7000 miles and can not believe the improvement in MPG. I am now getting about 32MPG and that is town driving to and from work. Great engine, good power, great motor. ST on the way though.

I think they just stick on, give the windscreen a good clean then slap it on. When did you order you ST2 and have you any options ? Big thing on the form about delays, I have been waiting 3 months.

I bet that is down to the seats then as that is the only difference. They will never admit it but I bet that's why... Feloows... why not wait 3 weeks till 06 plate..... will cost you wonger in the long run.

I think it is all. If you ask all those that have taken delivery there is on average only a 2 week delay. I posted this on another forum which should explain. This is straight off of the email sent to delers from the "Zone Manager" who ever that is. They are looking into the 3 problems above and can not give a TDD (Target Delivery Date) on any models with these options. The mail then went onto something about some department looking into this and will let dealers know as soon as they do. BUT, my order had visibility pack and was due to be built TODAY with delivery on 18th. So I will know more soon...... Very nice dealer I have nad top marks for honesty rather than fobbing me off.

Understand you Ken but food for thought. I had a ST220 but changed it for a Titanium for exactly the saem reasons you have said.... It's pants..... Ordered an ST and will be here soon, can wait a few weeks for sure as it will be worth it. Just think you will feel the same in 6 months. It is the right decision now so go for it, but you will feel different later and go for an ST when the delays have slowed down. I did post on one of these threads the reason for the delays.
