Hi Guys, Not been on here in a very long time! My membership ran out and i wasn't sure what car i was going to get next. I did want to try something new...but a couple of months ago ordered my new Focus! Haha! I'm getting the 1.6 Titanium. Can those of you with a 2.5 possibly post pics of the exterior and interior? I'm very keen to see what the dash is like illuminated. Thanks Craig.

Adam...watch your mpg. I had to change back to my standard paper panel filter today because with an induction kit i was averaging a scary 27.5 mpg!!! I simply couldn't afford the petrol! Now with the standard filter back in i'm doing nearly 40mpg. I'm looking for a performance panel filter. I'm after a Green Cotton one as i believe they are better than K&N.

Looks good mate. Any chance of a soundclip to see how it sounds??

Guys, Has anyone fitted a sports cat to their mark 2? I'm looking at getting one. Ive seen a Milltek one on the european parts website but it's a bit pricey. Any information would be appreciated. Cheers.

The main thing that will increase your insurance in the things you've listed above is probably the Bluefin, as this will give you a considerable performance and bhp gain. I think the Bluefin offers around 12 extra horses, coupled with a cat back stainless exhaust you're probably looking at around 14 extra bhp's i reckon.

Why don't you try and get a quote from a modified car insurance company? If you buy any of the modified car mags...Redline, Fast Car or Max Power there's adverts for them in there.

Guys, Does anyone know where i can get a nice new handbrake gaiter? Is there anywhere where i can buy one off the shelf? I noticed the other day a nasty hole in mine! Not sure how it's happened. My guess is that some gormless sh!te has gone to put their belt on...missed and punctured it! DOH!

Ronnie, i'm not selling anything mate! Haha! I'm just letting people know that the Fiesta ST induction kit on the european parts website should fit the mark 2 thats all! :lol:

Guys, I've just been having a nice chat through e-mail with Sascha from European Parts, and i've been told that the enclosed induction kit they offer for the Fiesta ST will fit the mark 2 Focus! This is a Raid HP filter. All hoses are the same etc, the only problem is that there are brackets that come with the kit that might not fit the Focus. I'm sure you can come up with another way of holding the filter in place though! :lol:

Guys, Seriously thinking about changing my headunit to an aftermarket one so when i get better speakers it sounds good! Aftermarket speakers with the standard Sony HU i have at the moment won't sound great i don't think! Can i please see what you have done? Also, what makes a good HU? Sorry...i don't know much on this subject! :oops: Thanks.

Guys, Kits are now available for the mark 2.5 Focus and the new Mondeo from SW Autodesign (www.swautodesign.com) Give them a call for pricing and anything else you might need...tyres...induction kits...custom exhausts etc etc! :lol: If you speak to Stewart or Chris there and say you are a member of this forum and that you know me then you should get a small discount. Better than nothin tho right? :lol:

Guys, Ok maybe this should've gone in the ICE section...sorry...but i keep forgetting what size the speakers are in the front doors. Has anybody upgraded these? Can you tell me what size i am to get and maybe reccommend some speakers that work well on the Focus? I'm running them on the Sony MP3/CD standard HU from a Focus ST. I realise i probably wont get fantastic results with the standard HU...but i'm just looking for something slightly beefier. Cheers. Craig.

My fuel economy isn't too bad in my Zetec 1.8, but isn't brilliant! I'm currently doing about 27.8 mpg! Fogs look really good! How do you get them out? I might do mine! Where did u get the primer and paint from? Can that be bought from somewhere like Halfords? :lol:

Tony, Looked at that mate. Not much help i'm afraid...plus there doesn't seem to be anything out for the mark 2 1.8!

I wanna know if any company is planning on making an ECU remap unit for the mark 2. Code Red do one for the ST and also the TDCI but nothing for any other model! :x

My mark 2 does this when i try and select reverse. I've told my old man (ex mechanic) and he's told me to put it in neutral and give it a couple of seconds before selecting reverse. :?
