All Looking for some help before going to dealer. Do you know how to upgrade the software in teh DVD Sat Nav? My dealer thinks, and I have no reason not to trust him as he is very good, that this is done with the new DVD's as they come out. But, if you do not have DVD ior if this is nto correct, how can it be done? Thanks Disney

interesting on the s/w front ...... i wonder what differences there are?? ,aybe bluetooth?

thansk TomTom - I can see you are active in the german forum you mentioned - I am going through it slowly with the aid of Google - some good info there though so thanks m8. as an aside as we are off topic anyways :) A mate of mine picked up a Hoinda CRV at the weekend and our Sat Nav rocks over the Honda version. It does not even have TMC although I can only get a TMV signal on Classic FN C

Cheers TomTom I need the clock fixing!! I have had all of the sw updates for the cluster and ecu and still when the temp hits zero the clock resets itself to 22:00. Drives me mad! We have the Pre-Equiptment telephone kit installed for a Nokai 6xxx series (we are using a 6100 at the mo but it also works witht he 6230 that I have for wrok. What would be great would be to have that upgraded to Bluetooth - can you get a bluetooth module from teh later 05 Focus' and get it to work? I thinkt eh DVDs are about 150 quid each - so Sept is in teh diary to chase. Thansk TomTOm C

Tomtom If you press and hold MENU and NAV and enter 6414you get into the hidden menu- one of the things listed there is s/w update. DO you jknow if there are any available? ALso my disc (harping on again I know) is ending AB on teh part number but when you hit version in teh Sat system is says v1 2003. My car is a 04 March car and I think the dsick shodl be later than that? C

thanks Nick My car went in for its first service today and the dealer had to call spain to get info on teh sat nav clock issue (resets to 22:00 when it hits 0 degress). They said there is a TSB coming for this but its not been signed off yet. Anything you could find would be great C

All If you have the SAT NAV then there is a self test function that has lots of interesting functions like self testing everything and the speakers - also lists software versions and has a very interesting button - Software update??? When I press it I get 0.05.4 03/08/05 1.50.0 03/11/08 I have Ford s/w revisions 0006/11/2003 Map EU V00.02.03 You need a PIN number to enter the unit which I believe is the same for all - but its dangerous to use and I am taking no liability for it - if you want it then PM me. Thanks TomTom - no we started with AA and now have AB - i'll check the years. Now can I get it to play normal DVD's :) c

The stereo part of the DVD SatNAv is made by Sont - the nav part by Denso - I am told its two units bolted together! So you have a SOny :)

a-ha - cheers TomTom - thats helpful .. its a long story on my part that I will not bore you all with but my C_mAx came with a 2003 disc even though it was purchased in March 04 so they classed it as mis build and got me the new disc. Dealer PROMISED us the latest disc when it came out a s a sweetner for the problems we had, this has never arrived. I just wanted to know the latest version and how much they were?? Mine is the 2004 AB and it still does not have the m6 toll on it :(

They are very VERY good - reconmend to anyone. Mothing a problem, even pickinmg the car up from our house as a special favour. Impressed no end. C

can you both do me a favour please??? Can you check your DVD's and tell me the last two number so fhte Ford Part number (actaully I think theya re letters) The one I haev is AB and I certain that the latest is either AG or AC. Cheers all Craig

Visited some pals today who have just moved. There new pad has a downward hill drive. As we drove onto it - CRUNCH!!!!!!!!!!! We got out, had a look and realised it was the apex of the pavement to the drive being too high and thus we bottomed the car. After I swore a lot - at the council, not my friends. We checked the underneath of th ecar. There are two, quater inch ridge side rails about three inchces in from the side on both sides of the car that run front to back These have been bent on one side and scraped. Now I am hoping these are here to protet against this sort of thing??

all points taken, mine was though that the c-max is a great car for the price - if I had more money to spend I may not have bought it, who knows - I am not flush. But if I won the lotto :) I would probably trade it in. Jams have different priorities for different people. Some want a good deal, some want great prestige, some want to impress the ladies, some need to fill it with kids (that us btw) but each to their own I say. Remember though if you had 32k to spend on a jam then you are pretty loaded and you have to think of it relatively speaking. A 32k car to some is like a 10 or 20 k c

i was thinking parking tickets but its a waste of space for sure
