  1. It was an option on the MK2 but they are not very common, I can't find any pictures just now but will have a look again latter.
  2. I am guessing it is the same as my ST if so it is located down behind the lower grill. One of mine is not working now as it fills up with water everytime it rains but I can't turn it around due to my intercooler.
  3. I will have a look at my lights in the morning to see if they are the same as what you are describing.
  4. I have the ultra lights but don't have any issues with water leaking in to the car. I do know that quite a few mk2's have had the problem you describe from standard with water leaking in past the boot hinges. Ford just add some sealant to solve the problem, that could be what is happening to your car.
  5. I would get them from Ebay, just as an example a rear bumper on there goes for around £50, Ford want £140 off of you.
  6. Just make sure you get 5 door side skirts, prices are rock bottom for the parts second hand just now.
  7. Just checking the voltage on the battery will not tell you if it is ok or not it has to be tested using a battery tester. I had problems with my car battery dying after a couple of days and it was the stereo that was draining it.
  8. It is a common problem on the ST, not sure if it is the same alternator.
  9. Have to agree there, I did have a rack lke the one in the link but over any distance the straps start to loosen off. Pain in the neck as to retighten you correctly you have to remove the rack. I also burnt out the rear wiper motor when I reversed with the rack on the car the wiper got caught on a strap.
  10. My lights have positioners at the front of the light but has two clips at the rear that clip under the slam panel. I do have xenon lights in my car not sure if that is the difference.
  11. Just remember that there are two tabs at the back of the headlight that have to be pushed down before the headlight will come free.
  12. Take it straight back to them mate sounds like they have made a right mess of your car.
  13. I very much doubt a new set will make any difference mate. They are only small openings with nothing to stop any liquid in them from coming out.
  14. The rear is easy I just put them under the rear beam, the front is a bit more difficult to explain. I use the point where the lower suspension arm attaches to the floor pan. Never had any problems using these points even when the whole car was on stands for a week.
  15. Looking at the picture it looks like the belt only drives the pump so it will cause no problems if you decide to take it off.
  16. It does look like the AC compressor deffo not the power steering, it is to the right of that lot. Looks like you have cracked the casing so a new one will be needed, you should be able to pick up a second hand one. I wouldn't run it too long as when the oil runs out the compressor will seize and destroy the belt. You will have to go to a garage that is equiped to deal with AC as the system will emptied,it is an offence just to vent it off, and then refilled.
  17. Power steering fluid in that wheel arch you have all the pumps and pipes, I would get it checked asap before any further problems occur. The major thing in there is the power steering pump which sits directly between the bumper and the wheel arch, all the pipes then head towards the radiator. Hopefully you have just damaged a pipe and not the pump.
  18. He did it himself iirc with standard Ford spray paint applied thinly. He does still come on here now and again so he should reply to you.
  19. Yes "mikeyg1981" did this mod on his car and the sensors worked perfectly.
  20. Does anyone on here know how much the bonnet weighs, I don't really want to take it off just to weigh it.
  21. Yep they are error codes. Not sure if this helps you mate but this is the site I use for DTC codes for my car. DTC Codes
  22. That would have been option but i have a few thousand pounds worth of mods on my car just now
  23. I will be welding plates in my brother is a panel beater so he will be telling me what to do.
