Got the rear lights from e-bay £64 in total i think. very good and easy to fit . straight swap really. I had to cut the wire to the brake light but not really a big problem. stuart

The ST spoiler was very very straight froward to fit Just 5 bolts holding it on. only thing watch the seal around the holes as my one leaks water which i have now sorted. There is a thread futher down the MK2 section somewhere . The springs dont look all that lower hopefully they will settle like my last 2lt did. I quite fancied the ST alloys but i will have to see what money i have in a couple of weeks. I am a fan of 6/7 spoke alloys and wiil have to be in a dark colour to go with the lights etc that why i have left the fog lights as they are (for now) stuart

Well its about time i had mine up (car i mean). After a busy couple of weeks the car has had a couple of subtle tweaks. So far St spoiler Zetec dark front lamps Dark rear lamps and fog and reverse lights Colour coded front grill Eibach 30mm lowering springs To do in the near future is a set of 18 inch alloys hopefully in a dark colour and to get the car detailed as the paintwork is a bit iffy. After that it will be all about trying to squeeze power out of the old girl. stuart

something strange happened this afternoon. My car has got the usual 2ltr problem that i have read about on here, the one where it doesnt turn over first time. Well this afternoon that happened again so on the second attempt gave it a wee dab on the throttle peddle (this usually helps) and this time nothing. On the third attempt it caught but only just and a strange message appeared on the dash. it said something along the lines of "steering assist disabled" and something else about the "acceleration"that i cant quite remember. Has anyone else on here had these or does anyone know where i

I have sorted it now. It was as Jamz said the lock had came away from the mechanism and needed pushing back in. I now know how to sort in the future. stuart

HI Today i went to start changing my suspension and discovered i could not get into the bonnet. I have ripped of the grill to expose the lock barrel (mainly out of anger can i say). But i still cannot gain access to the engine bay. How can/do i go about opening the bonnet without damaging anything else. The key doesnt work and i can presume i need a new lock mechanism. stuart

HI i have lost my manual that you get with the car and was wondering if anyone could help. It may sound like a stupid question really but where are the jacking point on the car or should i say the best/safest place to put the axle stands to support the car? i am going to be replacing the front and rear springs so ideally need both places.

HI I was wondering if anyone had done a how to for changing the springs on a MK2. I presume it is the same set up as the MK1. Even the ins and outs of removing that panel under the window would be a help? stuart

What size engine is it going on. When i say size of engine i basically meant is there any difference in layout between sizes of engine ie like what the old 2lt was to the 1.6.

I think i have found the plug for the bluetooth behind the glovebox.

Are they not for the bluetooth adaptor to connect to the stereo. I also have these and presumed thats what they were for?

My one had the 5 bolts holding it on very easy to fit only thing is i have kinked my washer pipe so need to remove it to release the pipe . Other than that very happy.

I was going to wait tilll the better weather but like a big kid i couldnt wait. makes such a differece to the style of the car me thinks.

HI Just a few things i was wondering How much lower is a standard ST than say a Titanium? Would ST springs fit straight onto same said Titanium? If so would ST lowering springs fit on a Titanium and would it be any lower than just getting Eibachs? can you see where i am going 8) 8) 8)

OH no i have a 2ltr and didnt realise it had individual coils for each spark plug. Other than that Look for a Titanium as it was suppose to be the speck below the ST. Brilliant car and comfy as f%$k.

They look a bit like Fez ST seats. Also similar to what i have in my Titanium Focus.

Is it just a straight swap i wouldnt need to go and drill any holes would i. Has anyone done a how to for this?

Its also not very good if you are in a smash and first aiders cant get to you because of the locked doors :?
