  1. Why leave them for dead when you can just slow right down and totally * * * * them off? :) (Oh and then floor it when they are not expecting it, tho an ST helps here)
  2. If the time or timezone on your sat nav is manualy set, is it correct? I have had two non-ford sat navs stop working when coming back in to the UK and forgot to put it back to the correct timezone. I nearly threw it out the window I was so angry! Just a thought.
  3. I got the things off, a strange clip thing on the side. Oh the fun I had with swapping the reverse/fog light to UK side.. The soldering iron came out for that one! 8)
  4. Their is a software update for the Sony unit? I keep having problems when I change timezone, I would put the clock an hour back or forward, and after a few minutes it would revert back no matter what I did. Had to pull the batt to temp fix that one. They checked this at both services and could do nothing. I only had a years warranty tho.. Stupid Ford :)
  5. Does anyone know the sort of magic required to remove the headlight connector? I pulled it and the conector part of the headlight came with it! Cheers!
  6. To part ex for my Type-R I was offered £7700 for 1.6 tivct climate, grey metalic paint, bluetooth, eibach lowered, wolf body kit with momo alloys (all from the factory/dealer). 05 plate with 15000 miles and two Ford services. Seems crap to me, but im in the Forces living in Germany so I can't really sell it privately without costing loads with hassle. I would sell for £9000 if done privately at least, which is probably what the dealer would buy. Last Ford I buy! :?
  7. Just had a guy from Chips Away look at my car. Cost too much for such small scrathes buy may get them to fix my alloys. Had a dabble with a Ford touch up kit and it wasn't so bad. Nothing that anyone will now notice when I sell it :)
  8. Wooo, we're back! I've decided to sell my Focus for the new Type-R, but I want to fix the little scratches from stones and such before I go about this. Is there a easy way to do this? Or just best to pay someone to do this. Is the old magnum grey metalic paint. Cheers
  9. When I drive back and forth to Germany, I usually do 65MPH and get an average of 43.2MPG which I dont think is very good as its boring. Dont know what MPG I get doing 85-90, but it drinks the petrol. Still love my car tho :)
  10. I got these from this forum a year or so ago. I beleive the numbers are the bulb type you can get from anywhere. Ultraleds.co.uk are good, just put the number in the search and take your pick :) Front Roof Interior Light - Item No 239 (36-39mm) Back Roof Interior Light - Item No 264 (41-44mm) Focus Footwell Lighting - Item No 501 The 9 led blues are pretty snazzy, not too bright.
  11. Got it off with a hacksaw (cheers for the advice Chris) and a drill. Hacked 2/3rds way around the pastic in the middle of the stick, still wouldn't budge. So drilled lots of little holes from the middle to the where the leather goes, pryed it off with a screw driver, and the end came off no prob! I didnt go for the Styling pack, just got the mats and door plates on their own. Then got the Wolf accessories.
  12. I still can't get this thing off. I have tried the screwdriver thing, but now its starting to damage the cover. What exactly is holding it on?
  13. Am having trouble getting my cover off too. All fun and games eh?
  14. Mine is only 1.6 TI-VCT. Revs smoother now. I got mine from Speedbox.co.uk, here is a direct link to the item. Says fits 1.4, 1.6 and 2.0. Oh and was dead easy to put in even to a car n00b like me.
  15. I put in a K&N panel filter in today, and I must say, it does make a difference. Feels much smoother. Even my girlfriend commented, and she didn't even notice when I put in the blue interior lights :-)
