  1. Pete, I used to get this on my mk1.5 - but it would happen after a long motorway drive. Say 30 miles+ at 70Mph then I come off the motorway and have to change down when approaching roundabout / traffic lights - the clutch pedal would feel very heavy, like I needed to press harder than normal. I used to say to myself it was because my left leg had fallen asleep after not being used to change gear for 30 mins plus... But it never caused any problems / faults and would never happen under normal driving. Hope this info is of use... or maybe not :?
  2. yep.. i put the trip computer in my Mk1.5 focus as the loom was there - so I got MPG, temp etc that the car didn't come with from the factory.. So, is there a way to find out what the car has configured? Can I take it to a dealer and they read the GEM free of charge?
  3. In that case, it is strange that some cars that do not have bluetooth fitted at the factory have their GEM's already configured for bluetooth. Is there anyway of getting a Ford dealer to tell you what is and what isn't configured?
  4. Ahhh that makes more sense... So the next question, what other operations does the GEM module control? Or does it do everything computer related in the car? (everything except the engine stuff that the ECU does that is)
  5. excellent - many thanks for that. So what's the GEN module? What does it do / control? Anyone know?
  6. get some pics up mate... would be good to see it!
  7. If it started to flake or you just wanted to re-do it again in a years time or whenever, what would be the procedure? Would you need to sand it all down and get to the plastic again? What tools / paint would you need for the best results?
  8. I discussed it in a thread before buying the car: http://www.ffoc.co.uk/modules.php?name= ... t=mk2+ghia
  9. It's one of the reasons I bought the Ghia :D Looked into retro fitting if I got a titanium and decided that Cruise Control won over Privacy glass (which is easy to fit :))
  10. I would have thought this was the warranty period of the device? Check this one with tezza, he'll be able to tell ya.
  11. Ahhh the text only scrolls once at the beginning of a track or when you turn the stereo on. The other thing to do is press AND HOLD the "CD INFO" button and this will force the name to scroll.
  12. bigbeere, Is your unit an MP3 player or is it a single CD or 6CD unit? (if it doesn't support MP3's then CD Text will be all you can have afaik) Mine is an MP3 player (you can just see the MP3 mark at the top right of the above pic) and is currently set to display the filename. It can also display the ID3 Tag of the file as well as other stuff. I can change which one it displays by pressing the "CD Info" button (to the right of the CD Slot) Hope this helps?
  13. * * * * could you still hear it? volume was on 2!! thought that was down enough.. lol Wanted to get the clicks of the buttons more than the tune tbh.
  14. go and buy the one with the parking sensor holes in and install some parking sensors!! There's even a how-to on here!
  15. no? ok.. how about this? http://s287.photobucket.com/albums/ll14 ... CT0494.flv
  16. Hi guys, Well... decided to help out. Just been out to my car and took some pics and a video :) Just uploading them now! and Hope that helps?
  17. ohhh LOL sorry... mis-understood I am sure you will be fine
  18. yes mate... this is where we (the people doing powerfold mirrors) are gonna get the parts from. Don't think they are genuine ford parts so be careful!
  19. found them! Check out this thread matey - much better and easier than painting! http://www.ffoc.co.uk/modules.php?name= ... e+repeater enjoy :)
  20. the side repeater blanking plates are chrome mate and they look great! No need to colour code!
  21. oooo just thought... aren't the relays rated? Anymore load on the circuit may cause the light to flash slower? (which is why the lights flash faster when a bulb has blown?) just guessing...
  22. I think you could do it like that and I don't think it would affect anything - but the question is do you want 4 flashing indicator lights? Is it legal to have more than 3?
