  1. As Ford don't make a 'Ti-VCT' badge for the boot of Focus, I've made one myself using the correct letter fonts from other modern Ford badges (found on ebay). I think it looks cool, but thought I would share this picture with you, to see what you all think???  [web]http://links.pictures.aol.com/pic?id=0a50fxKPiPofGiQPNj0LkTsYweBVXcsCdHgOv4xQp5Fd3Ig=&size=m[/web]
  2. Sell your steel toe-capped boots, and buy some flip-flops. You'll see your MPG rise to 50+
  3. I've got the Ti-VCT, and regularly average 50+mpg (and get 500-530 miles to a tank), but in fairness that's doing regular motorway driving at circa 70mph. If I can be bothered (which is rare), I can squeeze an average of 56mpg at a steady 55mph - but I get soooooo bored... Around town, I seem to average 40+mpg - which is still impressive stuff for a petrol engine. And bearing in mind it needs less servicing than a diesel and costs less at the pumps to fill up, I'm glad I chose the Ti-VCT :D :D
  4. Oh no, that looks pants in snot green! Looks like something Shrek would drive
  5. Hiya mate - thanks for the info. I've been and bought the parts you mentioned, and you're right in that it's a doddle to fit, but sadly it won't work. I think it's because my radio unit has the cddj button opposed to aux button?? Has anyone got any ideas how I can make it work?? Cheers...
  6. Sorry mate, just had a blonde moment! You could always punch it!
  7. Is it not possible to remove just the lid section of your arm rest? :?: :?:
  8. 2006 HONOURS The 2006 "Star Fella of the Year Award" goes to..... ....Rickm550 Star man, the phone kit works a treat, except that it's cost me loads more because I keep phoning people! Cheers matey - thanks for the advice!
  9. Hiya mate, not fitted it yet, planning to do it this weekend. Watch this space!! If you don't hear from me by the end of the weekend, it's because I've blown myself into tiny bits whilst connnecting the wrong wire. At least you'll know it wasn't the yellow wire afterall...
  10. Cheers fella - I know that I can mute it by raising my left arm, leaning forward, and extending my finger etc, but that's hard work and just no where near cool enough when there's a cheeky little wire hidden beind the unit that can do it all for me! Why have a dog and bark myself etc!
  11. This all sounds far too complex for a mere mortal like me, guess I'll just have to buy a ghetto blaster and sellotape it to the back seat! :rainbowafro:
  12. Trust you!!   Having to press a button manually is a tad boring don't you think, and it uses calories reaching over to the dashboard. I'll never get fat...
  13. Try using a blow torch - that gets rid of sticky marks. And the dashboard. And the radio. And the switches. And.....
  14. IVOV - The code should be on the first page of your radio user manual, but mine was missing - so I had to phone my dealer for the code. They confirmed my address details etc, then gave me the code over the phone
  15. rickm550, - You're a natural born star, looks like you've possibly answered my question. Thanks fella for your help - much appreciated!!! :bowdown :bowdown :bowdown
  16. Thanks matey, would appreciate that...
  17. I've tried asking this question in the ICE section, but to no avail. Does anyone know which wire behind the CD6000 radio unit I need to use to connect the mute wire from my hands free car kit? Thanks in advance for the flood of answers...
  18. You only get it on some models, but NOT the 1.4 and 1.6 Duratec petrol engines. I've got the 1.6 Ti-VCT, so I don't have it either - Bummer! :(
  19. I agree - and if you spend over £50 at my local Tesco, you get an additional 5p a litre off your next fill up. That brings unleaded down to 79.9p. (Saving about £2.50 per fll up - or a free pint of Tetley at my local)
  20.   - of course!!
  21. ivov - hope you're reading this - which LED bulbs do we need? Cheers matey...
  22. Have you made sure your 'air recirculating' button is mostly switched off, and only used occassionally (ie, for quick demisting etc)? If it's left switched on for a prolonged period of time, you end up recirculating the interior air that you breath which subsequently becomes moist, hence why the windows steam up quickly. Just a thought!
  23. I'm no technical expert, but as far as I understand, it simply alters the sensitivity of the steering (but not suspension). In sport mode, it should 'firm' up the steering and increase the pressure making it stiffer to use. It's great in theory, but because it's electronically controlled, you don't get the same steering feedback through the steering wheel as you would with a standard steering system. It almost feels 'artificial' at times. But it's good for helping to assist in parking...
