Its due to being planet friendly ! the bumpers are sprayed differently so they can be easily recycled its not just ford , whizzpopper and pretty much every other marque are the same , thank nissan for it the developed the technology

German and well made? avin a larf , i had a mk4 golf years ago and it fell to bits plus it was unreliable , If you want well made go see the japs .

The address input screen looks very similar in layout to my 99 series Alpine system , is the Disc made by navtech perchance ? Also does it do full postcodes ? thats something the Alpine has and i wouldnt be without it !!

I struggle to get legroom in my focus as the seat dosent go back far enough and im 6ft the new focus has loads more room

You will get problems with any new car , R&D is'nt what it used to be , if you are buying a late car all the problems will be ironed out

i borrowed a tdci zetec 2.0 for a day when my focus had its stoppers replaced , the display was saying 47.5 average , after a days enthusiastic hooning it only dropped to 47.2 , got 300 miles to £20 and whatever dregs were in the tank when i picked it up

* * * * me what a motor ! pulls like a train , the one i test drove when i decided between the focus or the c max was a 1.6 as it was in my price range to lease , the 2.0 is a missile in disguise , although i still reckon the 2.0 in the mondeo is the better lump it has no lag at all almost feels like a petrol for get up and go ,Anyway the handling was pretty tidy understeered a lot more than my focus but the genral ride was better , the steering is also sharper in the focus . overall not a bad motor , only problems ive got with it are , the seats which are nowhere near as comfy in it as the fo

I like it , it feels very solid compared to the current focus quality of the dash is a huge leap , styling is questionable but not bad , apparently the next mondeo is going to be an eye opener , cant wait :D

Its pig ugly compared to the original IMHO its just so bland (ford sack those bloody vw/audi designers), thats why i got my order in for my Ghia before it was launched , got a test drive booked though for the 8th at yeovil ford , just as well give it a thrash to see if its lost any of its appeal

Comp is digital compression it basicly squeezes the sound so you can hear more of the bass and treble , never used it on my mondeo or the focus , and i have got my trusty Alpine in now

Ah these will be the new Cheaper to produce wiper blades then :roll: they are supposed to be cheaper as there is less parts than the traditional wiper blades , i mate has had normal wipers fitted after they kept lifting at high speed on his golf . So much for improvement

MK1 Focus out handles the C-max , i have driven both , and have a TDCi Ghia arriving at the end of november , the current car is far more involving to drive . i have a mondeo at the moment which is a good car but the focus has a certain sparkle that the c-max and mondeo lack , remember ford pulled out all the stops on the mk1 focus to make the best 5dr hatch on the market and even they cant beat it so have gone the vw clone route on the mk2 focus which is a big shame
