i think its the imobiliser light as that is situated between the fuel and temp gauges on the cmax. It could be that as all it is is a little red led that flashes when the doors are all locked and the imobiliser is activ...

Bluedragon, You need a new 4 spoke steering wheel with the cruise buttons. You then need the airbag for the 4 spoke wheel. Then a ford techie who would activate the cc via the wds. The hard bit will be getting it turned on im afraid.

To do it officially will set you back wads....if you get a ford steeler to do it as many if not all wont have a clue how to activate it. I fitted mine myself then got a good friend who works for ford to arrange the rest. Its been spot on.

fordy2, i think yours is the mk 2 as the mk 2.5 was born in december 2008 or was it december 2007 not 100% sure which one

just remember that if your focus is the mk 2.5 you can fit the rear bumber from the st but not the front as you can only fit the mk2 front due to the light and bonnet shape which is different.

The mk 2.5 is the car the focus should have been in 2005.....

I have retro fitted it but changed the steering wheel and air bag. Iirc the cruise switches plug is there in the clock spring area so that should be ok. The switches do come off the 4 spoke wheel so i think that you could retro fit the switches. You then need a good ford stalwart to arrange the activation of the cruise. Mine was all down to terry who arranged a techie to do the update.

If some scrote has tried to syphon they will have forced the device forward which does cause te device to jam and not let you refuel. I think if you have a poke about you can reset it but be gentle mind.

ah so just below 60 i got the 60mpg at a steady 65mph...will give it a go next week.

DDS is the deflation detection system for telling you when a tyre is punctured or below a set pressure. It works on wheel spin size so if its punctured it isnt as big and the abs sensor detects this and tells you you have a flat tyre.

DDS should be a £50 option when you collect the car as its done at the dealer.... Thats what ford say in there brochure.

i would say the st front or even the standard or even the titanium with the chrome bits the choice is yours :) :) :) :) :)

i think and its my opinion it would look ok on your car for sure... you could even go and get a facelift front bumper as there are loads on the bay with grilles and it would make it look better..... The difference between the st and standard face lift front is not a great amount but i want the st grilles and the all in 1 fog surround so i managed to get one for £40 in asbo orange....gonna get it sprayed when i can move my a*se and find a decent body specialist....

no not at all as the plastics are only under warranty for 12 months and not the 3 years we all think...as i found out as i had some paint flaking from my front bumper and it was past 12 months when i took it to ford who said on your bike.....

soz mines black and im having an st front fitted which dont have the fog surrounds but i was getting the surrounds on my mk 2.5 sprayed silver which in a black bumper does look nice... get them sprayed a nice black which is better than the plastic grey that they are
