I have the titanium and have a zetec s rear bumper with a facelift st front in the shed for respraying..... The zetec s looks nice but the toys in the titanium is a better bet. the bumper set me back £140 sprayed and delivered... the st front cost £40 :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

the temp gauge does not work on the water temp IIRC it works on the heat from the cylinder head or block so when the head gets warm it causes the temp gauge to go up as normal. This will be effected depending on how cold the ambient temp is so below 7 deg the engine block from cold is colder than 12 deg so will make the temp gauge moe a bit slower. Daz

should be under warrenty as well.

The ESP is activated or de activated by the indicater stalk as is mine on an 09 tdci. The light is off when its activated but will stay on when switched of. i had the little bit of foamy stuff sticking up from my ford badge on the boot. Just get a stanly knife and cut round it mate thats what i did. No water gets in. to get the blank out just use a knife to gently prize it out. It only goes in one way. good choice of car.

Is there any way to adjust the trip computer "trim" to more of a real mpg readout like you can on the mk1 and mk1.5s.. cheers Daz

Just flicking through the info on the display and i see DTC D900. is it anything to worry about or just a spurious code with no meaning of any relevance. cheers

im a conti man on my titanium and previous foci.... cant beat the german rubber.

mines the same a little and im going to chip mine next month with a bluefin so that should sort that out hopefully. Daz

I have just had my cmax in for its 2 year service and its only done 9775 miles since berth... its awaiting bits for the slow clock issue which im at a loss to as its only a software update via wds so why do they need to order parts for this??? i have expressed that the fuel gauge can take upto an our to register full or half full when i fill it from empy and been told by ford that this is a common thing and is quite normal.. is this or am i being fobbed of. i have just done the dash dtc check and got a dtc D900 which i cant find a meaning for... is this serious or nothing to worry about...

today my wife rang me and said that the cmax 54 plate 1.8zetec had a mind of her own. she said the windscreen ipers went on there own as did the alarm and hazards. i said had you started the car and to my astonishment she said the following"im in the kitchen in me dressing gown with the keys in my hand" i was laughing my head of... the engine light has come on as well... it happened after the very heavy rain this morning so i wonder if it has had some water ingress some where.. any ideas??? ive had it since i filled it up to see if its her indoors and ive got it to 31.5 which is with driving for economy which i think is poor. after i filled it up the display said 257 miles to empty so i think there must be something wrong. ford looks like getting a call on tuesday. Daz

ve got 2 dtc fault codes whch are dtc e510 and d900 any one shed any light on these cheers Darron

hi the c-max seems to be returning very poor mpg. its only done 2393 miles and the mpgs are as follow 20.96 25.17 30.65 but its done 180 miles using 3/4 of a tank. its mainly local mileage but i think that its very poor. im about to ring ford tomorrow as im not happy. my 03 plate 1.8 focus hatch returns 31ish mpg so is there something wrong as surley it shouldnt be that low. cheers Darron

our 4 month old cmax zetec has them as standard so i would ask where they are as the spec in the uk on the zetec has them as standard fitted from factory Darron

nah they are not as they have diesel

got a 54 reg 1.8 zetec and its been in today for its curtosiy service i told them that the fuel consumption is diabolical and that they were to chaeck the car out. any way no faults found but they did say give it till 3000 miles as yes it is poor but as no fault found they cant do anything yet as its only on 1677 miles. rom level is 0531 nvm target rom is 0531 RAFE is 26.1 which i believe is lifetime average mpg but i have a dtc #00 D900 fault code. anyone know what it means cheers Darron.

ive got one to a 1.8zetec and it is rubbish on fuel. i drove to the dealer today for its 1500mile inspection i reset the trip got it warm went to the dealer via motorway and it gave me 33mpg which is crap. dealer says wait till 3000miles as no fault codes on wds. m wife drives it locally and the trip this morning said 19mpg which is diabolical. my 03 focus does 33 local and 42 on motorway. good luck Daz

just picked my 1.8 zetec cmax up today well at 6pm and its all i thought it would be. engine is the 125ps but not as lively as my focus 1.8 zetec at 115ps +s/s zorst and chip. mind you er indoors likes it. Darron

i have just ordered a 1.8 zetec 2004/5 model and have yet to be given a delivery date. where is this cmax mountain as i will have to point my local ford dealer to it.... Darron
