One of my friends did it (he is also a member here, his nick is Terdal). He says Mechanic checked the No:3 clip if it's broken. If it is broken it must be replaced. If it is not broken, then you must put a spangle (I hope this is the true word ...It is a coin like thing hwich has a hole in the centre, so that you can drive the screw in it and it is useful to make tight that screw) for each clip at No:4 clips. This is the TIS page showing Cmax 1.6 tdci cat . I explained this to the mechanic last saturday, showed him this illustration and wanted to do that. But he denied because there is no

2004 - 2005 spec differences ? Ghia
x-rayted replied to jimbob19's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
The software is different though. Our 04 cmaxes run with 422 or 424 software. But 05 cmaxes come with 5 software. -
IIRC, we chatted about it before. It is not a standart feature. You must pay extra money for that feature. I don't know anybody buying this optional feature. This is not the puddle lights that CharlieR mentioned. This is a feature of headlamps . It illuminates your passage way from car to your house. peugeot 307s commonly have this feature..

 Thanks guys  I intended to say" top" but i use "superior" for that word very common (in medical language). Sorry for the mistake

Not a good picture shot by a cameraphone. I finally painted the foglight cover's superior part..Looks better than the stock one, IMO...

Known fuel tank sensor problems ?
x-rayted replied to Richard_TDCi_Zetec's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
This 53 liters includes 7 liters expansion box, IMHO. You don't fill it up.. If the fuel expanses for hot weather, it fills there . So we can say it has a 46 liters tank.. Mine has never taken more than 45 liters, and the range (the miles that you can go with the fuel in the tank: sorry i dont know the exact word) was 5-8 miles then.. -
Yes , you are right there is an additional metal clip there.. I think new cars with 1.6 tdci engine (focus or cmax) come with this clip there. Maybe, your car's air filter is clean. I decided to change it in 3 month period.

New focus has a clear side repeater. Does it fit to C-max?

I'm feeling better :)

I have had a rattle .It was from the SONY audio and fixed.. This rattle was also fixed. Service made a setting or tightened the cover itself, whatever it is there is no rattle anymore..
-
WEnt to the dealer/service on saturday.. They had a detailed check and said that because of dirty air filter oil condensated there. Not a big problem. But they changed those 2 pipes with new ones for free (I insisted on so they did it)..
-
I've heard an annoying rattle for a couple of months, finally, found the source. Its sunroofs internal cover (Sorry, I dont know tne exact word for it). When its opened (whether the sunroof itself opened or closed), that rattle is heard. But when its closed, no rattle anymore :) Is there a fix for this ?

1.6 tdci is available with CVT transmission..But its quite rare and I don't know if its imported to UK..
-
We chatted about this before ..It seems when TC is set to metric figures, its pretty consistent. But when it is set to UK figures, its inaccurate.. BTW, gwyn , your 5.5 is very good. with heavy intercontinental traffic here, i never see figures starting with 5 . My recent figures is between 6.1-7.0 l/100km (40-46 mpg).

I noticed it 2 weeks ago, no problem since then...So I think, its nothing to worry about. I'll go 1 year service 10 days later and I want them to fix this... One of my friend's 1.6 tdci had an oil leak a couple of months ago and it was repaired under the guidance of that TSB. I showed these pictures to that friend and he said the situation was different. So this could be another issue.. Ill post here when it is solved..
-
It must be TSB 13/2005...Is this the situation which is mentioned in that TSB.

1.6 tdci c-max... Turbo oil hose, link point... This area is certainly oily..Went to the dealer, they say it's turbo's oil condensation and its normal. Is this true?

Fix For Brakes Squealing When Reversing
x-rayted replied to cmax_bck's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
Is it a common Cmax problem or is it common for a particular model (2.0 TDci for example).. Im not sure if my 1.6 tdci has this? -
Voice control - Bluetooth - advanced
x-rayted replied to ATC's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
If this is about using a bluetooth car kit with SONY mp3 player (SONY audio volume down when a call comes ), then I'm too much interested in.. And I cannot understand one single word in French.. -
ROM level 541 and airbag warining light...
x-rayted replied to dkrysmann's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
Also, new cars come with ROM level 535- 541..This is not a fault. These are the newest software.. 424 is for 2004 model cars. -
Add this site to your favourites, just like me. Useful conversion tool there..

Is this possible and reliable ??
x-rayted replied to x-rayted's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
Moondust, thank you for the quick reply :) I'm not considering to buy it. I just wanted to show it and, if anybody uses it, to get impressions about that product. I, generally, don' t believe those magically cheap, simple and over-effective performance and economy products :( -
I am not sure if we covered this before...if so, excuse me  ... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 30727&rd=1 Power and torque increase seems enormous ? Is this possible ? Anybody using this thing?
