  1. I could test it but mine already shows all of those things so i guess i cant lol
  2. sounds ok I got a years tax included in mine and demanded another £500 for my car which they gave in the end after much argument - well we told them the price we were willing to pay for everything - didnt argue for mats as my focus at least already has front carpet mats and i got a full tank of fuel too but that was because they cocked up so argue for as much as you can get and dont forget to play them off against other dealers
  3. Barry hope the links were of some use to you Tell your wife she will be fine with the focus (im a girl) and i cant park to save my life and im not a big fan of large cars and i get on fine with mine - dont know what id be like in the Cmax but i do drive the OH's mondeo and im not as scared of that as i was (im a total wuss) I dont have anything against the C-Max btw to anyone who thinks i do lol
  4. ah right thanks - only cmax ive seen relatively closely was the one my uncle got on motability but i never actually went in it or anythin
  5. Just out of interest why do you say that? ive never actually been in a cmax and i dont have kids but if i can fit 5 adults in my 5 door focus why is a cmax better for kids (sorry if im missing something obvious here)
  6. Heres a couple i know they arent in the north though but just an example of used cars that you can get as i say you can always get extended warranties thrown into the price and they all should have about 2 years of the manufacturers left http://dws.keycast.com/DWS/CF/Templates ... id=3561926 http://dws.keycast.com/DWS/CF/Templates ... id=3589518 http://dws.keycast.com/DWS/CF/Templates ... id=3563883 - That ones the old style but ive seen it in the flesh so 2 speak and its a nice car http://dws.keycast.com/DWS/CF/Templates ... id=3548720 Oh and im in no way affiliated with Allen F
  7. My focus cost £10.720 for an 05 reg Ghia 1.6 Ti-VCT but Sandicliffe in Market Harborough ha a 1.6 Ghia for 10k - with about 10k miles on the clock in grey, nice looking car that i was going to get if i didnt get the one i have now - so i would imagine you could get a decent one for that price Oh and in the £10.720 i got a years extended warranty so i have 2 years manufacturers and one years extended for that - only had 3,800 miles on the clock too
  8. As ive said before i fell in love with the focus while learning to drive as i was with the AA for a bit first in a fiesta and then a focus - when i passed my bro bought me a car but he wanted me 2 have something small and cheapish so he got me a fiesta but i desperately wanted a focus - after a couple of years i managed to get one and despite the fact i had a lot of problems with it i still loved it and i love my new one even more It feels SO much safer than a fiesta especially on a motorway, i also like the fact that as im only 5ft 4 it feel quite high up and has plenty of room for driving
  9. I might be wrong and i probably am but the engine difference is on the 1.6 petrol engines as far as im aware i.e. the standard 100ps or the ti-vct which is 115 - ford website says the diesel engines are 1.6 TDCi 109 PS Stage IV + DPF (sold orders), 5 Speed Manual 1.8 TDCi 115 PS Stage IV, 5 Speed Manual 2.0 TDCi 135 PS Stage IV, 6 Speed Manual 2.0 TDCi 136 PS Stage IV + DPF (sold orders), 6 Speed Manual
  10. Nothing on mine because mines not wired into anything i think they are for cd changers
  11. Dont the foci have a 5 star N cap safety rating if you are looking for a safe car? - a 5 door car should be big enough i had 5 adults (3 on the large side, myself included) in my 5 door focus ghia on saturday and we were all comfortable oh and the Ti VCT engine is nice as thats what i have
  12. It has what look like metal clips on the carpet part just under the seat which look a bit like one of those pics (cars down the road in a car park so will have to check later) but if that is them then im about 90% sure they are only on the seat behind the driver I didnt buy the car new so no idea what the person before specified really but its a 1.6 Ti-VCT Ghia like yours
  13. Its the handbrake as in parking - went round to my mates the other day and parked in the car park outside which is on a bit of a hill - pulled up the handbrake not far from the top and the car just rolled forward i had to pull it full on to get it to hold the car - and it wasnt that much of a steep hill - i park in steeper places sometimes so obviously slightly worrying
  14. what does an isofix mounting look like and ill tell you what my car has
  15. Lucky you i got a fiesta last time but that was an emergency car i think they usually give the KA's
  16. Mine was serviced just before i bought it but i know when i got my fiesta and old focus back from services it practically dislocated your shoulder taking the handbrake off because it had been tightened to much which is definitely not the case now
  17. Thanks for the info need 2 take some stuff down 2 the dealers this week anyway so might mention it to them then as i know one of the guys there at least drives a new style focus - see if his does it too and get them 2 take a look at it
  18. Ive noticed it a couple of times since having the car once on a steep car park and a couple of times on a not so steep one - i always have my foot on the footbrake before pulling it up but it seems i really do have to pull it up as high as i can to hold it which i didnt have to on the old focus - just wondering whether it should be like that or not
  19. I had a bit of a rant about the guy who sold me my car on here the other day as he didnt seem to know anything about it and kept messing things up but at the end of the day the other people in the sales department just laughed at his mistakes, he had never done a personal number plate transfer and he messed it up and they just sat back and watched him At the time i was really angry and still am a bit but it wasnt all his fault his manager should have been keeping a better eye on him - all my other experiences with car sales man have actually been good - i sell stuff too (not cars) and i know
  20. Is it just my car of do you need to put the handbrake on really tight for them to hold the car? Just thought id check before i ask them to tighten it up a bit
  21. whats the dealer warranty then my used one (1 year old) says it still has 2 years manufacturers warranty and then i have a 1 year extended after that - and dealer said i could get warranty work done anywhere in europe
  22. i wish i could say that if i cant afford it i dont buy it but in the case of my new car i NEEDED a car and i couldnt afford a new focus myself - ok so i could have had an older car but then it would have felt stupid buying an older car than the one i already had
  23. On my old focus i had all sorts of problems - non starting, in my case all the lights came on as if you had turned the key into second position but no sound at all from the engine it just didnt start - then sometimes the milometer would just display - - - That was eventually "fixed" with a new junction box after months of them trying to fix it - it took it breaking down (engine cut out when i was slowing down at traffic lights) and needing towing to the garage 2 get it fixed A month or so after that it started juddering after a service and the engine management light came on - they got it
