  1. Looks as if the radio needs updating to suit bluetooth as your car is quite old and before factory fit bluetooth i think. Where in the UK are you?
  2. I fitted mine in the glovebox as per factory fit it is a pain either having the glovebox door open and everything falls out or trapping the lead in the glovebox door. If I was doing it again I would look at mounting the socket in the switch plate by the heated window switches or in the centre console somewhere.
  3. Best bet then is to remove the existing white block and let me have the wire colours and i'll what they were for and insert the new white plug for the aux socket.
  4. Which diagnostic system are you using?
  5. It does!!! It is located on the outlet side of the air filter housing and is a rectangular sensor on where the round outlet for the air is. It's not like a conventional style MAF
  6. Umm so you have the white multi way connector already there? Have you got a "voice" button on the radio remote by the steering wheel?
  7. Have you got bluetooth fitted as it uses the same connector from memory? Also was Sony already fitted to car from the factory?
  8. From my experience then it is difficult to get this right along with autolights. Everyone has their own opinion on when they would turn on lights/wipers etc and is very difficult to judge. I have found from driving Jags, Land Rovers, Fords etc. that they suit me 95% of the time. Do adjust the sensitivity regularly as the sensor is affected by sunlight etc wehn raining. Also pays to clean t6he screen everynow and again when they begin to "play" up as there amy be dirt on the sensor
  9. I have a label in the drivers door sill with all tyre size pressures on. If yours doesn't have this then I'll a take a photo next time i'm out at the car.
  10. Donovan2123 - what bits u got - new heater box, control panel, wiring etc?? If i get chance i'll have a look at the kind of work required.
  11. Monkeyboy - does your name explain it all?? He he Not your fault and Ford should repair under warranty. It's most likely caused by latch jamming and then increasing the interior door handle load above normal. Hope it all gets sorted soon!
  12. Its ur ABS kicking in. Basically it is detecting a difference in wheel speed when u hit the bump and that is why ABS is kicking in. Perfectly normal and nothing to worry about.
  13. I have retrofitted an AUX socket to my Focus Zetec Climate. Part number is 1426121 (for a Ford Fiesta 06-) and it costs about £10 and comes with a harness to plug in back of radio and a 3.5mm jack socket for plugging in your MP3 player. Have to drill a 20mm hole (I put mine in the normal mounting position in the glovebox) and route the wire between the 2. Real easy took about 15 minutes!! Any q's please ask!!
  14. Not all cars have door control modules (black box in pic 4) Depending on spec of your car then i suspect you haven't got them fitted. Only high spec cars with folding mirrors, global open/close etc have them fitted. Which wires are you after and where in the car??
  15. An engineer vs a driving instructor - tough one this as to who to follow. Got nothing against driving instructors by the way. I was taught whilst learning to drive to press the button in. However, with todays handbrakes and the self adjusting mechanism on them then that is why the recommendation is to NOT press the button in.
  16. Yeah like the ST rims but it just seems that everyone is doing that/wanting to and pushing the price up!! Demand on the Volvo and X Type alloys seems lower due to the customer profile!!
  17. Was wondewring if anyone has fitted either Volvo S40/V50 alloys or Jaguar X Type alloys to their Focus Mk2?? PCD is the same and tyre sizes but not sure if anyone has actually fitted them? Looking for something a little different but haven't seen any aftermarket alloys I like yet!!
  18. Pete - the ratcheting is to avoid over tightening. It's like the one on the fuel cap. The header tank is a common part with other Ford vehicles so depending on engine and cooling system design it would be perfectly normal for one of the outlets/inlets to be blanked off.
  19. So the sensors I have found at 18.5mm are way too small then!!! Guess need to find another bin of parking sensors with bigger ones in!!
  20. Can anyone measure the size of the hole in the bumper strip for the sensor please? Thanks
  21. True!! He he Just didn't want them to stand out to much against bumper insert. Will get proper price from dealer tomorrow for bits before making my mind up!!!
  22. Cheers for your help guys - my car is panther black so won't be coding - are they matt or gloss black??
  23. Hello all just a quick question I am looking at retrofitting parking sensors to my Focus and was wondering what makes folks have fitted to the factory fit bumper insert with holes?? Are all sensors the same size? Been quoted for an X Vision kit and also for the standard Ford kit. Both pricey compared to the £20 ones from Ebay. Thanks for your help. PS - bought an auxiliary socket tonight so wil do a how to over the weekend when i fit it.
