  1. Switch it to standard, then select "Save Settings" :D
  2. Sounds like it may not be the end of my problems. Thanks for the information olsacha :)
  3. This problem is very common and does not seem to be related to miles or type of driving. I also don't think it is as simple as just a sticking valve as mine will cause trouble for a few days, then be fine for a few days. This is sometimes in town and at other times on the motorway. I have also had two valves in the past year, but have just heard that the newly modified valve and software are now in stock. My car is booked in for Wednesday, I'll let you know how it goes.
  4. Maybe it is a toaster, I've not tried it out. :D
  5. Does anyone use the cardholder slots in the dashboard or are they a complete waste of space? Do posh options have something else, mine is a Zetec?
  6. Very popular on boats. http://remtrak.com/auto/auto.htm
  7. First time mine played up was after a long motorway run. It also does it after town driving.
  8. I'm not either of them, but the Service Manager at my dealership says that they are available in theory according to Ford. However, he has had them on order since day 1 and still no sign of them. He thinks that they are mainly being used to support production. I'm waiting to hear from him.
  9. I have tried Shell, BP and Tesco, it makes no difference (I'm on my 3rd valve!). I'm currently trying RedX fuel treatment - still get hesitation now and then and the engine check light has been on 3 times this tankfull. Dealer has ordered the new valve, but no sight of it yet.
  10. Depends on the company, my wife's covers her car with anyone driving. (Europ Assist)
  11. I have a new valve on order too. Dealer says he thinks it will be some time. :(
  12. Normal UK mixed driving without thrashing it for the first couple of hundred miles will be fine.
  13. They don't fit them because it saves money and custoners don't complain about engine noise or appearance.
  14. I don't think the system will let you run dry.
  15. I prefer it to the C-Max rear end. I think that this is the car's worst angle by far.
  16. Does warrantee work come with it's own warrantee? If so, each time you have EGR trouble, you get another 12 months cover on it. :? My own spell of trouble with my revised (?) valve seems to have gone away again.
  17. Did you reset to zero on all the readings? Mine works fine and seems to be quite accurate.
  18. Alloy seats? Sounds a bit cold to me.
  19. hate to say this but the newly modified one i dont belive is out yet! It would not surprise me. Last time they had it back I had to wait 3 weeks because they were, "Waiting for modified valves", but they never said that they had fitted one. Such a shame because when it is going right, the C-Max is a very good car, mine just has this one persistant fault. It is mainly used for short trips around Birmingham at the moment. I think it was OK when I was doing daily motorway journeys. Perhaps some sort of cleaner in the fuel would help?
  20. Perhaps it's the weather. There seem to be a lot of EGR complaints this week and now my newly modified one has started playing up. :( I'm hoping it will get better by itself.
  21. Troll: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll
  22. Children trash the inside of your car until they are old enough to get their own! Get used to it. :(
  23. Have you tried cleaning the area of the sensor? I think that wax and grease can prevent correct functioning.
