  1. £22.5 for a focus who in their right mind would pay that, you could get a nice audi a4 tdi for that, at least you ar'nt paying that price, i would still expect you to lose a few grand though in a p/x as for xenons they are great in my clio 182 much better light on the road and they look good :D
  2. i have brought 3 brand new cars and 3 brand new motorbikes one of the cars was a ford and i have never paid for the cars or bikes until i picked it up. if they won't let you do that inspect the car before you give them the money and get the manager to sign somthing to say that anything you find when you pick it up is the dealers resposability to sort out as priority
  3. if the ford system is the same as mine on my clio 182 they can't make their mind up as to which speed to work on in certain conditions ie somtimes if it is drizzeling and you wanted a fast intermittant it might decide that it wants to wipe the screen at full speed or not at all  imo it's just a gimick and normal variable intermittant wipers are much better.
  4. 6th gear is really for the motorway when you don't need lots of acceleration and it increases the mpg because of the lower rpm. as for your mate why would he want the turbo to be spining when he is sat at a constant speed?
  5. you should have the Sony stereo and ESP if they are not there i would be straight on the phone to Ford. you should'nt accept the £500 just tell them you want a brand new car to the specs that you ordered (months ago) and you will keep this car for your use until the new car arrives or at their (Fords) expence supply you with a hire car until the new car arrives. don't let them walk all over you, it's their fault they should know what to fit to a car especially as it is standard trim.
  6. everybody thinks that way even me when i ordered my clio 182 (with no spare because of exhausts) but i went to a rally in Wales just after having the car and on the way i hit a raised drain and it split the side wall of my tyre the foam was no use so the day was ruined and i had to be taken home on a tow truck, then leave the car in my garage the next day, so i had to walk to work then i had to order a tyre (none in stock anywhere) so another day was lost and then get my Dad to take me to get it fixed. just somthing to think about now i carry a space saver in my boot all the time.
  7. so getting a space saver wheel is still an option? as when i order my ST in a couple of months i will want a spare instead of the foam
  8. can you just pay for the car straight out or do you have to have their finance? and is there a minimum account that you need or can you just open a savings account with £50 or somthing like that in to qualify to buy the car from them?
  9. went past Reg Vardy's in Wolverhampton monday and they had a orange ST with a very nice plate ST55 HOT
  10. [quote=" If anybody seriously wants an ST I do have some room to do a great deal for you. quote] does this mean ford are letting dealers discount them now?
  11. £15k for a st3? priv are just a good offer i had a focus zetec from new 4 1/2 years ago and had lots of problems (in the garage at least once a month, ended up on first name terms with the service girls and the master tech  ) and swore i would never buy another ford again when i sold it for my clio 182 but now i am thinking of going back to Ford for the st2, afterall they sell lots of cars and you only hear of a few with problems and you get minor probs will all cars. if you like it and can afford it do it
  12. Ford will have done a lot of testing and if they think it should be left for a few mins after a hard drive they will say so in the manual, because if anything goes wrong they have to pay to put it right and thats not what they are in business for
  13. nice vid only problem with running that is it blows the f**k out of the exhaust baffles, but i would love to see plods face if you were running that down the street  tesscott6312 they are fitted to turbo cars as std but manufactuers use re-circ ones so they don't make a noise because not all people like a loud car
  14. resteve it has nothing but Ultim8 said that a dump valve keeps the turbo spinning to stay on boost but it is a anti lag system that does that i was just stating the he was mixed up with the two
