Will Ford have any problem in rectifying the problem? I dont want my car to have a different colour bumper. Intrestingly enough, the back bumper matches.

The flick key is only on the Ghia and Titanium

Has anybody else noticed a difference between the bumper and body colour? My front bumper is a darker colour, looks even worse in the sunlight. I spoke with the dealer and they said bring it in but it could take 3-4 weeks for Ford to do anything about it :x Surely they should sort it out quicker than that. Comments please

It is only available on the Ghia. I am told this is because of the 4 spoke Ghia steering wheel and 3 spoke on the Zetec/Titanium.

On my 2.0 petrol, I am reading 31 mpg after having done just under 600 miles. Not that pleased, my old Focus (which was also a 2.0) did 34-36. I am hoping that it might get a bit better after a few more miles. :?: Does using BP Ultimate make any difference, according to What Car it does but it would be interesting to see what it is like in the real world.

Very nice, black cars look got but are a b*****d to keep clean. Could we have a few piccies of the interior with the stiling pack please.

James, What model is it? I believe the steering adjustment is only on the Ghia and Titanium but I could be wrong. If you have it, you need to switch on the engine and scroll your menu wheel on the indicator level until you get Steering Setup or words to that effect. If you hit the enter button it then tells you how it is configured. To change, just roll the wheel until you get to the desired setting and press enter again. When you are asked to save to key say yes. BTW, you can only do this while you are stationary!

I would be more than happy with 35mpg. I dont get through the miles that much 7-8k per year so the cost isnt an issue. Bit surprised about your Fiesta consumption, my mate gets over 40 in their Fiesta Silver.

My dealer also asked me to tick completly satisfied - cheeky! I have the Sony 6 CD and dont get the rattles from my rear speakers, I ofter use the system at Vol 10 (Bass 3 Treb 7). I would get them checked. Glad you are happy with your purchase.

I would recommend the 2.0 petrol. I have bought one myself and the fuel economy is a lot better than the old 2.0. The fuel computer is saying just under 31mpg for 450 miles but as this is calculated based on the average over 600 miles, I am hoping to get it near to 35. New cars also never get the best fuel economy to start with so hopefully this will improve even more.

Interestingly there is no LX in the 5 door either!

Whats the latest on this mate. I have the same problem with the lack of instructions for the stereo. Also the mats I have do not look like the posh ones in the brochure. Let me know how you get on please. :) I never got an instruction book with mine either. Just went to the delaer though and they gave me one no problem.

Dont know why they would come with the Ghia badge attached, surely they have some type of build spec that tells them which badge to put on! I have heard rumours that they are facing part shortages due to the high demand, perhaps they have no Titanium badges left and are putting these on instead? I have also heard someone complain that they got the Ghia steering wheel on their Tintanium. I agree, get them to take the badge off and order you a replacement, it cant be difficult to fix a new badge on but even if it is, its not your problem.

I picked mine up on 1 March :D It was ordered on 8 Jan with a build date of 26 Jan so it took just over 7 weeks to arrive. It is a 5dr Ghia in Tonic with DEATC, Sony 6CD and 17" alloys. Really pleased with the car!

I have just been told that my car is at the dealership, it will be ready for 1 March :D I am going to have a look at lunchtime, will try and get some photos.

I would always prefer to have a daytime collection so you can check the car over properly. I have waited this long for my car, another few hours wont make much difference.

They look pretty similar until you zoom in on the pic, they are not the Ford fit ones.

The wheels are the 17" 5 spoke alloys in the brochure - I have seen them on a Focus and they look good.

It does, and that is nice but I have a 2.0 at the moment so I would miss the extra power. The 2.0 is an extra £850 on top, it is a lot of more! I was a bit surpirsed that the DEATC was not standard on the new Focus on the Titanium and Ghia. I have a 2.0 Ghia (old style) at moment and it came as part of the car. I spend most of my time alone in the car, so the dual function is not really needed, i think it is just a way of saying that you get something better for your money!

I would spend the extra money and get a 2.0. I drove the 1.6 (115) on the test drive and although it was good once you got moving, found it difficult to pull away at low speed in 2nd. I would also recommed that you spend the £400 on the DEATC as it is so simple, just set the temperature and forget. No need to worry about changing the heat dial. I have this on my new one which is coming 1 March or there abouts and my current Focus, well worth the money!

Didnt you want to wait until March so you can get a 05 plate?

Mine was built on 26 January, been told by the dealer that it should be here mid Feb for a delivery in March. I cant wait!! Have ordered: 2.0 Ghia in Tonic with: DEATC Sony 6 Disc Changer 17 Inch Alloys
