I retrofitted a kenwood double din unit to my focus. Loads of options on the kenwood site as regards bluetooth, ipod, voice control, tv and such. It has garmin sat nav on the unit and is briliant. The best modification to date. :D Better than my dad's range rover in car sat nav by a mile. you can also programme your destination whilst on the move unlike ford ones. I would check out aftermarket double din or single din systems before you commit. They're not cheap but they are a lot less hassle than the on dash sat nav systems. I can post pics if you want. Others have done the same on h

aftermarket stereo in the 2.5 focus

I got a Kenwood DNX 7200. Thats an old model they don't make anymore but this is the new version. It has garmin sat nav (nearly as good as TOM-TOM), ipod with video and you can get tv, parrot bluetooth and a rear parking camera but I didn't need that. -
aftermarket stereo in the 2.5 focus

I upgraded my standard radio to a double din kenwood sat nav with a video ipod lead to my glovebox. well worth it. there's kits online to help you fit it as well as the cage. best mod made to my focus. i think there's quite a lot of people on here who've done it also -
love the look. still wil probably set it up to a switch.
-
not sure how easy it is to remove the glovebox so i'm probably not going to go down that route in the end. I think I may attach the lights to a button which I can mount on the blanks next to the heated rear windscreen button. But wouldn't know how to attach that to the battery arghhh. :x

I am currently looking into retro-fitting my own footwell lighting. I have a 57 plate style and it has the holes but no bulbs or bulb holders. These are the bulbs and bulb holders just don't know how to do the wiring. If someone could post a piccie of their footwell wiring looms and maybe some of the wiring I may be able to work it out. I think I may go for red to match my illuminated gear stick not sure if the blue or white LEDS will go with it. Apparently a Haynes manual for the mk2 is to be released which would be very helpful.

these will do european parts. cheers for the help though. :)

okay cool. shame coz they look pretty cool. I'll keep looking.

Does anyone know if these CLICK will fit on a 57 plate mk2 focus? I would need to change the centre cap maybe to blank or ford one. If not anyone know of similar.

The lead you used may be a mono to mono lead. I think u need a mono to stereo. I'm not sure though will probs give you better sound quality.

You can wire it exactly the same as mine. Small Orange to red and black to black. -

Yeah I'll take some pictures mate its a piece of * * * *. I wired it to the the power socket. Do you have a cigarette lighter? You simply remove the drivers side panel which just screws off. From there you can feed the wires to the gear knob. -

You guys are legends just fitted the gear knob and its immense. :P Tucked all the wires in nice and tidy and taped them up. I cut the wires and then crimped them made it easier than soldering each wire in turn. I may also attach a switch to the green cable to allow me to turn the colour from red to green. Thanks Jim -

will this give me the same power output as other ilumination feeds. Would wiring it to the headunit make the gearstick light brighter? So the unattached wire is the positive and blak is obviously earth. -
