  1. They are just stuck on and can be removed from the outside. You can buy a full set of primed strips from Ford for £40. A local bodyshop should be able to paint them for £50 and fit them yourself.
  2. What are people thoughts on having these stickers on the car? They would fit is the small 3/4 window quite nicely I think. CLICK :)
  3. Autolocking? This when you unlock and the car locks itself if you don't open the doors within 1minute-ish? If so mine works.
  4. The car was parked in the private office block carpark last night and the nice woman that works upstairs drove into it whilst trying to park. :x Thankfully she left her name and number. turns out she works next to my mum and worked with my girlfriend a few years back. Her excuse was that she had just bought her new car and wasn't used to it yet. It was a '58 plate Vectra and she's ony 5ft. Anyway her insurance are paying out and the car goes in this week sometime to get sorted.
  5. I have the standard 16" chrome Ghia alloys and they are buggered.
  6. I got around 350mls to £40 (someone do the math please). I did hammer it once down a duel carriageway in 2nd & 3rd and the CPU read 12mpg. 1.6 100ps BTW.
  7. Do they? I have a set of Ford ones in the garage and the instructions look as though the screw and clip in.
  8. I bought a set of ST clocks from a scrapyard. It was just a case of removing the perspex case that covers the dials and swapping it with the perspex case from my original dials.
  9. When you unclip the perspex from the dials the dial rings are attached. It's a simple case of unclip original perpex and clip on ST perspex.
  10. No, but you could just fit the perspex from the ST dials to the original like I have. 8)
  11. 1. Sprayed the Wood bezel. 2. Fitted 2008 buttons (note only the heated front/rear screens work) 3. Sprayed button suround Panther Black 4. Fitted Sony MP3 unit and sprayed surround to match bezel. 5. Fitted C/C ashtray and sprayed to match bezel. 6. Also sprayed the Gear surround to match bezel. 7. Fitted Fiesta ST gearknob. 8. Fited Focus ST Dial surrounds. (straight swap) Much improved I think you'll agree. Before: (not my car) After: :D
  12. Send the full size one to Rick Moranis. or try ebay.
  13. Plan B? My plan b was to keep the standard dials and fit the ST casing. Makes a huge difference. 8)
  14. Did you get an arrow pointing up instead of the seatbelt warning symbol. Reasons I ask is that I tried fitting ST dials into my Ghia and this was the difference. You would have thought all the dial faces would be the same.
  15. I've managed to get hold of the foglight surrounds for £5 from a breakers. Only thing is I don't know what to do with them. I don't want to colour code them fully as I don't like that look but have came up with this idea:
  16. If you have the standard stereo and you remove the dials it screws up the clock and date.
  17. Doesn't it work the other way as when the speedo says 60mph on the dials the actual speed is 56mph. On the ST dials when I'm doing 60mph the correct reading would be 51mph as the 60mph is not as far round the dial. The ST dials show 5mph more at the same spot on the dials compared to the standard ones.
  18. Ok I've just bought some ST dials from a breakers for £40 and I'm planning to swap over the dial facings and plastic covering. My only gripe is that the ST dials are 160mph so over read by 5mph throughout the speed range. As the standard dials sit at 3mph when idling could I in theory remove the speedo needle and place it so that it sits at 0mph when idling, therefore reducing the difference?
