I am still loving them! Everyone comments on how much better it looks compared to other c-maxes. I have just done 24000 mile in 10 months and not once have I regreted the lowering. I have just come back form devon to essex. Weekend, fully loaded and four adults. No worries on handling or ride.

Not having children I no I am probably in no position to comment.... ....BUT.... as I teacher, and a geography one at that, how about doing what we did on car journeys and "look out of the window", or play games!!!???? I just think we are pandering to much to children and giving them things to just "shut them up!!!!" Not having a go or anything, just wonder if society is changing for the better!!

I have not really looked hard enough to be honest. Nothing noticable anway. Maybe get some autoglym leather care?

C-max is made in germany!!! Or at least mine was!!!

I love the 2 litre tdci. I have now done 23000 in mine and when I fill up the "DISTANCE TO EMPTY" readout says 611 miles!!! lovely jubbly!! Never do that of course, I get to about a quater left most weeks and fill up having done 480 ish. No problems.

I think the c-max tends to be a bit more "family" than the normal focus and therefore this part of the forum is more about "issues" than modding, which tends to fill the pages of the other areas. I dont think we bother to write som much when things go right!! I have not done 23000 and have really enjoyed those miles!!!

I tried to look for you, but the bit your finger is touching on mine is exactly the same as yours. there is no such magnet or anything. I am guessing the clasp is in the unit the lid reaches. A bit awkward to feel or see into I am afraid. Really weird!

Without looking, I am pretty sure it is not a magnet. To open it the door is pushed towards the rear then it releases. The same latches it up again. However, I wil look this evening and report back.

How can I fit the wrong size tyre? wont that effect speedo?

They clip in like the st170 ones. Not really an option i don't think. You might be able to do something with a bursh and paint.

Only a long shot......but....one consideration could be if you panic bought fuel last week you may have loaded up with the dregs of a fuel staion tanks. Not idea if this would happen or cause hesitation. JUst thought I would think outside the box!!! :oops: :oops:

What should I get? 205/50/17 I enjoy a spirited drive but I do quite high mileage. What brand should I get? Any ideas where too? I live in south essex.

I just had mine serviced for the second time, 22000 miles and they too said that my rears were 70% worn!!! My rear wheels are always dirtier than my fronts.

You mean an alloy wheel cleaning brush! :lol: They do them in poundland ocasionally.
