I have a 1.6 tdci ghia on a 54 plate, which returns a pretty poor 37ish to the gallon with no running problems, should I request the EGR fix? Will it have any benefit? Sorry for all the questions :oops:

Do any of you guys know how much a new drivers side headlight will set me back for my 54 plate 1.6tdci ghia (not xenon)

Mastertech, my 54 1.6tdci ghia gets approx 29mpg from a tank used on a good mix of journeys. I would expect a better return than this on just short trips. i have had it back to the dealers a couple of times for this already. What is the latest software available for mine ? Because I'm not even sure that they are adjusting anything !! Thanks in anticipation :wink:

So does that make the 'garbage' that we are achieving acceptable ? :evil: Not in my book Ford should NOT be quoting mpg figures that cannot be achieved, even with carefull driving, to gain sales..............lets face it, it was one of my reasons for buying one. I feel miss-informed and robbed of my hard earned. Don't get me wrong, I love everything else about the cmax BUT it does not excuse false advertising.

My 1.6 tdci ghia (54 plate) is a fantastc motor...........apart from its abismal mpg.............28-29 around town going up to a massive 35 on a long run !!! :cry: Its been back to the dealers a couple of times for "updates" but never really changes the mpg................not a happy bunny :cry:

Don't be scared :lol: What you have to remember is that forums like this only really get the 'bad' side of things. i.e people only usually post when there is somthing to complain about. I have got a 54 plate 1.6 tdci ghia and would recommend it to anyone. Yes I've had a couple of minor issues, but, you can have issues with any motor. True ? BUY ONE :wink:
