  1. Mastertek, My car is going in next week for valve replacement, so I guess what is to be fitted will be the 'old' design which at some stage will give me the same problems I have encountered up to now ? I really don't have to much confidence that CD42 will make all that much difference.
  2. Another previous post rear water leak : http://www.ffoc.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.p ... r+footwell And another : http://www.ffoc.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.p ... t+footwell And last one (hope it helps) : http://www.ffoc.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.p ... t+footwell
  3. Found it. You will have to scroll down to read the section I remember : http://www.ffoc.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.p ... light+seal
  4. There was a post on here recently with regards to the seals going on the rear light clusters. That had a similar soggy footwell issue. I will have a nosey and come back to you shortly. Welcome to the Forum by the way !
  5. Sorry ! that's my very dodgy sense of humour (or not as the case may be). The only problem areas I have heard about is the windscreen, bulkhead and rear light clusters. Does your car have a sunroof. Probably not as you have not mentioned it above. Also wondering about door seal ingress. How old is your car ?
  6. A tap. Bottled, from the supermarket. Natural spring. Stream / river / pond / lake etc.
  7. See what you mean. Would be nice to think that there was a cheaper option that would look decent enough not to be noticed. How much do these mobile chaps charge for minor repairs? Maybe that's the answer. What Ford dont know wont hurt them !
  8. With it being Motobility, does any repair not have to be carried out correctly or is that a costly option ? Otherwise, I presume if it is spotted at the three year hand-in (if that's the deal you are on), would that not go against you ?
  9. I'm one of those pains in the posterior that tends to listen out for things like that. My wife seems able to just switch off, although it winds the hell out of her when I constantly mention it !
  10. Welcome to the forum rben. Looking forward to hearing about your new car and would be great if you could post some pictures when you take delivery. Yep, I'm as nosey as ever !
  11. Yep, does it on mine and can be quite annoying at times. I find the best remedy is to turn up the CD player !
  12. Any plans for the birthday next week Dennis ? Nice French restaurant ?
  13. Russell, Mine did exactly the same, but on the third attempt, it sorted itself out. God only knows why ?
  14. French car, therefore 'Escargo' !
  15. All in all, it sounds like you got a good deal and will probably never regret you decision. I drive Mondeo's at work all the time and if I hadn't gone with a C-Max, it would have been my next choice. My boss has a really tasty 'Ghia X' that I try and sneak the use of every now and again. Lovely motor. Enjoy your new purchase and stop looking at ST's on the forecourt !
  16. Do we get to see some pictures when you take delivery ? Sounds like a nice car. Don't balme you in the slightest. I know a chap through a friend who has been waiting just as long as yourself and he is now contemplating a change of mind.
  17. Yeah, got on his bloody 't i t s' ! ! ! Keep hearing these shocking stories. Isn't it about time Ford got their act together ?
  18. 8 out of 10 Prity much the same reasons as noted above. I have tended to put up with most of the minor niggles due to the car being a wonderful drive. Motorway driving is a real pleasure these day's. If we were talking about the dealer, then my score would be much lower! Having previously owned two Audi's, I have been spoilt by a much more professional after sales service.
  19. Jesus, this seems to be happening more and more ! You would think that the Service Manager should check the work before signing off that it is completed. At least that is what used to happen when I had the Audi in for warranty work etc.
  20. It does work on the MK.2 as well as the C-Max ! There is nothing that can be effected by this procedure, so don't panic about cocking things up.
  21. What you mean to say is they SHOULD be changed every service. I don't think 'you' need to be a Rocket Scientist to know that they are not! Unless there is a check done by a more senior mechanic or Service Manager, then mechanics will cut corners, especially if the job in hand is a ball ache. We would all like to believe that every Ford Dealership has a completely professional outluck but most of us know in the real world that this is not the case. Just read the posts on here to understand that the Dealership you worked for must have been one of the rare exceptions.
  22. And what makes you think that the Mk.2 is put together any differently? Do they emply more professional staff on the Mk.2 production line and chimps on the C-Max ? Wake up and smell the coffee !
  23. Have a drive, you'll be surprised how good they really are. Most of the negative comments you get on the forum are from people that have never been in one let alone driven one ! From a practical point of view, they can not be beaten. The storage is great + the higher seating position is fab from a visibility point of view. As the saying goes, dont knock it till you've tried it !
