  1. Don't panic & don't go to any trouble on my account ! Hope you got everything sorted.
  2. If you get chance to post some photo's, would love to see red versions, as I have only seen blue and green.
  3. Megaman, Only one bulb per footwell and if you follow the links provided at both the start of this thread and again seven posts above yours, then you will find all reference numbers required for bulb replacement. Removing interior shrouds is a doddle as you can clearly see where you lever off the covers.
  4. KaleeSPERa ! No solution here I'm afraid, but great to see so many Greeks on the forum. See you in June, as a return trip to Skiathos beckons. Lovely country, Lovely people - just not so sure about your Ford dealers !
  5. Thanks Bob ! Seems so much more expensive, as my last car (Audi A2) was dirt cheap. Due to it's aluminium body and engine design, it was classed as an 'environmentally friendly vehicle' and fell into one of the lower tax brackets.
  6. Define 'sports car' I'd call anything a sports car if it has the following: large wheels, sports suspension, big engine, flared wheel arches, spoiler, and a body kit. Not as fast as a Ferrari perhaps but it's still 'sporty' You've said it yourself 'SPORTY' not 'SPORTS CAR' !
  7. Show's how much I know (wife in charge of financial matters), but at £110, is that more expensive, static or cheaper than pre-budget figures ?
  8. As nice and sporty as the ST is, it's not what I would describe as a true sports car. It's just a 'sporty' hatchback like many other examples on the road. That being the case, is it really so wrong to have a diesel version. I choose to drive diesel, but does that then dictate that it looks like your average family hatch ? I think not ! I tend to think of 'sports cars' as the two-seater variety, eg. TVR, Lotus etc. Come on guy's give us oil burners a chance !
  9. Completely missed the budget today & only caught a couple of minutes of the news that mentioned 4x4 users being hardest hit (presumably because they are gas guzzlers), so wondered what (if any) effect it has had with regards to diesel cars like ours. What is the new rate for both the 1.6 TDCi and the 2.0 TDCi ?
  10. What is this problem that certain people have with a diesel? Just cos we choose to drive cars with this engine type, dosn't mean they have to look like tractors. There are plenty of other car brands that do sporty diesel versions, so why not Ford ?
  11. How to make the Winter Olympics more interesting by making the Biathlon event even more competitive : http://www.skoopy.com/show2.php?id=2026&type=VID Just press 'Click to Open' Enjoy !
  12. Difficult to answer that, as it all depends on age, mileage and condition. Have you any of these in mind at this stage. I didn't do too bad with mine which I purchased privately. We were looking at buying from a dealer last September and were about to shell out £11,500. I ended up finding a better '04' example with 12k on the clock @ £10,000. Had to travel to Cardiff to view it though but certainly worth it.
  13. I think that the general opinion would be a good mix of driving. eg. motorway stints of 70mph as well as taking it steady. I just seem to remember reading somewhere that giving it a bit of umph when it is new sets the engine up nicely for later life.
  14. I know what you mean. I have read threads that say to take it easy, others say thrash the engine which sets it up nicely long term, and some say to mix both steady driving and a bit of heavy accelerator work. Like 1955diesel, I am more inclined to take it steady for the first few hundred miles.
  15. Brake fluid change is recommended at the 2 year / second service. It is down to yourself to make the decision to have them carry out the additional work. Let's be honest, if it was already lumped on the service cost, there would be people then complaining that with such low mileage on certain cars, that it was unnecessary. Ford can't win ! For your information, my second service cost was £135 + an additional £35 for new brake fluid. Don't mess about with things like this. It could be a matter of life or death (literally).
  16. It's only internal trim that is not covered after the first twelve months. You will not have a problem with the door seals as long as it is a recognised fault / problem. You could do with someone like Mastertech to have a nosey on Ford's system and see if there is an actual TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) for the Mk.2 Focus. As I posted above, they are aware of this on the C-Max, but at the end of the day, it's up to them to make the effort to check. Most will proably fob you off at the service desk. God only knows why as the cost of replacement seals will not come out of their own pocket.
  17. Thanks Mastertech. Is something that can be purchased or exclusive to Ford employees only ? I'm forever messing about with things like this, so long term would prove useful.
  18. Surely not ! Would this not be the case on a left hooker (left hand drive) ?
  19. Sorry Andy, I forgot to load up the second picture of the badge rear. It's the levering off I am worried about. I suppose some masking tape around a kitchen Knife might do the trick. It may also be better if I wait for the weather to warm up a bit.
  20. Does anyone know how easy it is to replace the rear Ford badge ? Rather than get my local Ford dealer to do it themselves under warranty & run the risk of them scratching the paintwork (very likely as I am sure they would not take real care), I have purchased a new one of Ebay. The existing one is starting to look really naff with bits of the silver coming away. The new one has locating pins and self-adhesive pad, but does not come with any sort of fitting instructions. May be Mastertech would have an idea if no-one else has attempted the procedure themselves. Look forward to hearing
  21. So I wasn't a million miles away then
